Overview

Капитанская дипломатия

Game iconCaptain's Diplomacy is a two-handed gun of unusually high artistic quality, added in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is a massive pirate musket with a wide flared barrel, a warm brown wooden stock, and brass trim. The model belongs to the family of vulpera "pirate" firearms: its distinctive grotesque silhouette instantly marks it as belonging to the sea raiders of Freehold.

The weapon suits every specialization that uses guns: hunters of all specs, and as a transmog, any character proficient with firearms. Despite the item's modest level, the appearance is valued precisely for its theme: it is one of the most recognizable "pirate cannons" in the game, fitting perfectly into the look of corsairs and smugglers.

The main value of Captain's Diplomacy is its appearance. In terms of stats the item has long been obsolete, but as a transmog it remains in demand among fans of nautical and roguish aesthetics.

Source

Captain's Diplomacy drops in the Freehold dungeon — a pirate port in the south of Tiragarde Sound. The appearance is obtained from the "Council o' Captains" encounter, which features Captain Eudora of the Bilge Rat brotherhood.

  • Source — a drop from the "Council o' Captains" fight, the second boss encounter of the dungeon.
  • The dungeon belongs to Battle for Azeroth and can be cleared solo without much difficulty at the current level.
  • The drop chance is low — the weapon shares the loot table with other council items, so several runs may be required.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts: the dungeon can be re-run as often as every day.

The coordinates of the dungeon entrance in Tiragarde Sound:

A quirk of the dungeon: before the council fight you will be offered the chance to side with one of three pirate crews. The chosen captain will join your side and will not take part in the fight as an enemy. If you are farming the appearance specifically from Captain Eudora, do not join her crew — otherwise she will not drop her loot on that run.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It suits pirate and corsair looks: leather armor in warm brown tones, bandanas, sashes, tricorne hats.
  • It harmonizes with brass and wooden accents — for example, with gear themed around Kul Tiras and sea raiders.
  • It contrasts with cold metallic armor: against such a backdrop, the warm wood of the stock looks out of place.
  • It nicely completes a "smuggler" concept for a hunter or adventurer instead of a strict military look.

Tips

1

The Freehold dungeon can be cleared solo at the current level — a dedicated group to farm the appearance is not needed.

2

Before the "Council o' Captains" fight, do not join Captain Eudora's crew, otherwise her loot will be unavailable on that run.

3

Firearms are used by hunters — the appearance is useful to any of them, as well as a decorative transmog.

4

Set the dungeon to whatever difficulty you prefer: the appearance model is identical on any difficulty, so it is easier to take Normal for speed.

5

If the appearance does not drop, re-run the dungeon — there are no daily limits on repeating it.

6

For a cohesive look, pair the gun with nautical-themed leather armor and a muted brown-and-gold palette.
