The Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon is an epic flying mount added in patch 11.2.0 of the Ghosts of K'aresh expansion. It is a large gryphon with vivid orange-ash plumage, inspired by the culture of the Wildhammer clan. The mount is purchased at the Trading Post for 650 Trader's Tender.

The Mount Journal description reads: "According to Wildhammer legend, these gryphons inherited their orange feathers from their elemental ancestors." The Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon first appeared in the Trading Post rotation in September 2025 as part of the "Dwarven Charm" themed month, alongside three other gryphons from the Wildhammer series.

1. Make sure the Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon is in the current Trading Post rotation.

Monthly Bonus (500 Tender)

Each month you receive 500 Trader's Tender for free — just visit the Trading Post and claim the chest. This is the main source of Tender.

Traveler's Log (up to 500 Tender)

Open the Adventure Guide (Shift+J) and switch to the Traveler's Log tab. Each month a list of activities appears here: completing dungeons, world quests, battlegrounds, and other in-game pursuits. For each completed task you receive additional Trader's Tender.

Stockpiling

Unused Tender carries over to the next month. The maximum cap is 5,000 Tender. If you already have savings from previous months, you can buy the mount right away.

Timing

If you start from scratch, you can collect up to 1,000 Tender in a single month (500 free + up to 500 from the Log). That is more than enough to buy the Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon for 650 Tender.

Patch 11.2.0 added four gryphons inspired by the culture of the Wildhammer clan to the Trading Post. Each one features a unique plumage color and a reference to dwarven lore.

The High Shaman's Cloudwing Gryphon cannot be bought with Tender — it is awarded for filling the Traveler's Log progress bar in September 2025. The other three gryphons are purchased for 650 Trader's Tender each.

All four gryphons use the same updated dwarven gryphon model with decorative armor. According to lore, each gryphon embodies a particular aspect of Wildhammer culture: elemental heritage, martial regalia, the fire element, and shamanic traditions.

The Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon is a rotating Trading Post item. It is not sold permanently but appears in the catalog for a specific month, after which it goes on hiatus.

Appearance history:

• September 2025 — first appearance in the Trading Post (the "Dwarven Charm" themed month)

If the mount is currently unavailable, it will very likely return in future rotations.

The gryphon model uses the same animation skeleton as the Algarian Stormrider and Alunira. When flying at medium speed, the gryphon's right wing visually stretches forward. The bug is most noticeable when viewing the mount from below. At the time the mount was added to the Trading Post, this animation defect had not been fixed.
