Cosmic Gladiator's Soul Eater

Cosmic Gladiator's Soul Eater is an epic flying mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 9.2.0 "Eternity's End." It is a massive light-gray soul-eating shade with burning eyes and a ghostly aura — a seasonal reward from the Shadowlands Season 3 PvP arena.

The mount is awarded for earning Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 3 — one of the most prestigious PvP achievements of the expansion. As of Midnight, the mount is unavailable: Shadowlands Season 3 is over, and the reward remains only with the players who earned it back then.

• A status PvP symbol — the Cosmic Gladiator's Soul Eater is visible in any capital hub and instantly marks you as a player who closed out Gladiator in a specific season. It is one of the few seasonal mounts that cannot be bought, traded, or looted from a chest
• A unique light-gray color — the cosmic variant completes the collection of four Shadowlands soul eaters. Its even ashen-gray tone sets it apart from the other versions
• A full all-rounder — the mount can both fly and travel on the ground. Ground speed is +60% or +100% depending on skill, and flight speed is +150%, +280%, or +310% depending on your riding level
• Account-wide — once obtained, the mount appears in the collection of all your characters on both factions
• A match for the seasonal roster — along with the mount you receive the title "Cosmic Gladiator," and upon reaching 2100 rating, the "Cosmic Flux" weapon illusion. Together with the Cosmic Gladiator's Tabard, it forms a complete Season 3 set

Strictly one path: climb your 3v3 arena rating to Elite rank and close out 50 wins at that rank while in Shadowlands Season 3. Outside the season, the reward is no longer granted.

1. Wait for an active Shadowlands Season 3. As of today the season is over, and the mount can no longer be obtained
2. Assemble a steady team of three players of equal level and coordination, prepare a PvP set, and one leader on voice comms
3. Reach 2400 rating in ranked 3v3 arena — that is the Elite rank threshold. The Elite: Shadowlands Season 3 achievement will be credited automatically
4. Continuing to play at Elite, win 50 3v3 matches. Every win at 2400+ rating counts toward the Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 3 achievement
5. After your final 50th win, the reward appears in the achievements window — Cosmic Gladiator's Soul Eater. The mount arrives by mail at the end of the season, not instantly

Note: if you drop below 2400 rating, wins do not count toward the 50. You need to climb back to Elite.

Team and role

Assembling a stable trio is the main task. In Shadowlands Season 3, the top of the rating was held by comps with a damage dealer, a controller, and a healer. Solo shuffle did not yet exist that season — the gladiator mount was earned only through classic 3v3.

1. Decide on your role: healer, damage dealer with control, or pure damage dealer
2. Find two partners with compatible classes and a regular schedule
3. Set up voice comms and a unified call macro template
4. Watch recordings of the best teams of your spec in Shadowlands Season 3

Gear

To storm 2400 rating you need a full set of seasonal PvP gear and gems of conflict.

• Fully upgrade your seasonal gladiator set at vendor Zo'sorg in Oribos
• Fill your sockets with gems of conflict suited to your role (damage, control, or survivability)
• Take the Cosmic Gladiator's Tabard and the matching Season 3 weapon set for transmog — they highlight the seasonal set
• Enchant your weapon with the seasonal PvP illusion; at 2100 rating you unlock "Cosmic Flux"

Mental readiness

A long push at Elite often breaks not because of skill, but because of emotional burnout. Don't set yourself unrealistic schedules, take 10–15 minute breaks between series, and don't play after four losses in a row.
