Crimson Armored Growler

Crimson Armored Growler is an epic ground mount added in patch 11.1 of The War Within expansion. It is an armored hyena clad in crimson plating, available for purchase from Rocco Razzboom in Undermine for 8,125 Resonance Crystals once you reach Exalted reputation with the Bilgewater Cartel.

Goblins affectionately call their tamed hyenas "growlers." This specimen loves to dig — and looks imposing thanks to its heavy crimson armor. The mount is part of Undermine's armored growler family alongside the purple, black, and blue variants.

To purchase the mount you must meet two requirements: reach Exalted reputation with the Bilgewater Cartel and save up 8,125 Resonance Crystals.

1. Arrive in Undermine and begin the main campaign of patch 11.1
2. Choose the Bilgewater Cartel as your allied cartel for the current week from Kaydee Racketring at the Incontinental Hotel
3. Complete world quests, special assignments, and weekly quests to build reputation
4. Raise your reputation with the Bilgewater Cartel to Exalted
5. Save up 8,125 Resonance Crystals
6. Head to Rocco Razzboom at the Bilgewater Cartel headquarters in Bilgewater Plaza
7. Purchase the Crimson Armored Growler and use the item to learn the mount

Rocco Razzboom is located at the Bilgewater Cartel headquarters in Bilgewater Plaza in Undermine. This district is west of the Demolition Dome in the northern part of the city.

How to Get to Undermine

1. Make sure your character has reached level 80
2. Pick up the starting quest of the "Undermine" campaign — it appears automatically when you log in after installing patch 11.1
3. Follow the quest chain that leads you to Undermine
4. Upon arrival you will find yourself at the Incontinental Hotel — the central hub of the zone

After your first visit to Undermine, you can return via the portal in Dornogal or use your hearthstone if it is bound to Undermine.

Vendor Coordinates

Important: the "Start a Revolution" Quest

If you are at the "Start a Revolution" quest stage, Rocco Razzboom may temporarily disappear from the game world. To make him reappear, talk to Primrose Crankshaft at coordinates 42.6, 47.2 and pause that quest.

Reputation with the Bilgewater Cartel is earned through Undermine's weekly cartel alliance system. Each week you choose one cartel to ally with, and all the main reputation sources funnel into your chosen faction.

Weekly Cartel Choice

Each week, visit Kaydee Racketring at the Incontinental Hotel and choose the Bilgewater Cartel. The choice is account-wide — you cannot grind different cartels on different characters at the same time.

World Quests

World quests in Undermine grant 50 reputation points with your chosen cartel. Quests refresh regularly — check the map several times a day.

Special Assignments

Special assignments grant 200 reputation points and appear weekly. This is one of the most efficient reputation sources.

Elite Rare Enemies

There are 9 elite rare enemies in Undermine. Five of them spawn one at a time in a rotation, and four are tied to specific cartels. Killing rare enemies rewards reputation and additional resources.

Shipping & Handling

The "Shipping & Handling" event starts every hour and lasts 10 minutes. Deliver cargo aboard the G-99 Breakneck to earn Resonance Crystals and reputation. Every hour at XX:30 the "Peak Profits" event kicks off with doubled rewards.

How Long It Takes

Since you can only grind one cartel per week, reaching Exalted with the Bilgewater Cartel takes several weeks of active play. Choose Bilgewater every week until you hit your goal.

You need 8,125 Resonance Crystals to purchase the mount. This currency is gathered from many sources throughout The War Within content.

Main Sources

• Dragonriding races — the first gold completion of each race on any difficulty grants 95 crystals. Completing every race on every difficulty can net up to 6,840 crystals
• Delves — a steady source of crystals. Rewards scale with the difficulty tier, and key milestones grant up to 5,000 crystals
• World quests — completing world quests on the Isle of Dorn, the Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall
• Rare enemies — killing rare mobs in the zones of Khaz Algar
• Shipping & Handling — events in Undermine

Additional Sources

• Glowing spheres — pick up small shining orbs while dragonriding; each one grants 1 crystal
• Kej exchange — an NPC in Azj-Kahet lets you trade the local Kej currency for Resonance Crystals
• Crystals transfer account-wide — gather crystals on your alts and send them to your main character through the Warband system
