Get Crimson Vorquin mount

Crimson Vorquin is a ground and flying mount of rare quality, added in patch 10.0.0 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a racial mount of the dracthyr — a majestic steed used for swift travel between combat sorties, when a dragon's wings need a rest. The mount can be obtained as a quest reward or purchased from vendors for 40 gold.

Vorquin are four-legged creatures that inhabit the Waking Shores. They are distinguished by their graceful build and great endurance, which has made them the favored mounts of the dracthyr cavalry. The Crimson Vorquin stands out with its rich crimson-maroon coloring.

• Unique design — vorquin have a distinctive model unlike any other mount in the game. The collection features four color variants: crimson, sapphire, obsidian, and bronze

There are two ways to obtain the Crimson Vorquin: through a quest in the dracthyr starting zone, or through a purchase from a vendor.

Method 1: The Quest "Cavalry Has Its Place"

If you have created a dracthyr (Evoker) character, the mount can be obtained for free during the starting campaign.

1. Complete the introductory quests in the Waking Shores up to the quest Cavalry Has Its Place (level 10)

2. The quest is given by Treysh — a cavalry master who explains that herds of vorquin inhabit the Waking Shores and that she has already picked out a suitable steed for you

3. As your reward, choose the Crimson Vorquin (or the Sapphire Vorquin — one of the two is available to pick)

4. Along with the mount, you automatically gain the "Apprentice Riding" skill

This quest is part of the "Ebon Scales" storyline and follows the quest "Thunder Crater".

Method 2: Purchase from a Vendor

The mount is sold by two vendors in different locations.

For dracthyr — the purchase is available with no additional requirements:

• Treysh in the Waking Shores, the village of Morqut (coordinates: 45.2, 61.2) — 40 gold
• Tethalash in Valdrakken, the Obsidian Enclave (coordinates: 25.5, 33.5) — 40 gold

For all other races (available since patch 10.0.7) — you must reach Exalted reputation with one of the factions:

• Obsidian Warders — for Alliance characters
• Dark Talons — for Horde characters

Once you reach Exalted, purchase the mount from the same vendors for 40 gold.

If you are not playing a dracthyr, you must reach Exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or the Dark Talons (Horde) to purchase the Crimson Vorquin. These factions were added in patch 10.0.7 along with the revamped Forbidden Reach.

Main Sources of Reputation

• World quests — complete world quests in the Waking Shores. Each quest grants between 75 and 250 reputation points
• Weekly quest — the weekly quest in the Waking Shores yields a large reputation bonus
• Rare enemies — killing rare mobs in the Waking Shores rewards a small amount of reputation
• Treasures and scrolls — opening chests and collecting drakonid scrolls in the Waking Shores grants additional points
• Story quests — a one-time bonus on your first run through the Waking Shores content

Reputation Boosters

• Darkmoon Faire — the "WHEE!" buff from the carousel grants +10% to reputation gained for 60 minutes
• Banner of Cooperation — a guild item that increases reputation gained by 10%
• World Quest Bonus Event — +50% to reputation from world quests during the event week

Time Frame

With daily completion of all available quests, grinding reputation to Exalted takes roughly 3–4 weeks. If you combine it with bonus events, the time can be shortened.
