Overview

Проклятие

Game iconDamnation is an epic two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is a weapon for intellect-using characters: it grants intellect, critical strike, and versatility, which is why back in the day the staff was carried by warlocks, mages, shadow priests, and balance druids.

Visually, it is an elongated dark staff with a massive head in the grim aesthetic of the Scourge. The model fits perfectly into the looks of necromancers, dark mages, and cultists, so the staff remains a sought-after transmog to this day, even though it has long been outdated as a combat weapon.

Source

The staff drops in the Naxxramas raid — a flying necropolis above Dragonblight. The drop source is the final encounter of the Military Quarter, the fight against the Four Horsemen, among whom Sir Zeliek battles. The reward for victory appears in a chest after all of the horsemen are killed.

  • The staff drops from the Four Horsemen loot roughly 10% of the time.
  • It binds to the character on pickup (it cannot be traded or sold at the auction house).
  • The raid itself requires level 30, but that is a formality: today Naxxramas can be cleared solo without any trouble.
  • Opening the loot is not restricted by a weekly lockout for transmog farming — you can enter as many times as you need until the staff drops.

Visual fit

  • The staff's dark palette pairs well with the tier 7 sets from Naxxramas — for example, the warlock or shadow priest set.
  • It harmonizes with purple and black cloth sets in the style of Scourge cultists.
  • It contrasts strikingly with light-themed healer looks — a debatable choice, but one that emphasizes a "fallen" priest.
  • It suits concepts of a necromancer, a dark mage, and a servant of the Lich King.

Tips

1

It is best to farm the staff solo on any class with decent survivability — a paladin, demon hunter, or warrior clear the raid the fastest.

2

In a single run you also kill the other bosses of Naxxramas, so the farm doubles as a chance at the rest of the raid's transmog.

3

If the staff does not drop, simply re-enter the raid: there is no limit on transmog attempts here.

4

To get there quickly, use the dungeon finder or fly to the necropolis above Dragonblight in Northrend.

5

Before entering, make sure you have selected the right raid version: from a transmog standpoint any difficulty will do, as long as the model drops.

6

Check the chest after the fight with the Four Horsemen — the loot appears there rather than dropping from a single horseman.
