Get Darkfuse Spy-Eye mount

Darkfuse Spy-Eye is a flying mount shaped like a goblin spy device, added in patch 11.1 of The War Within. The mount drops from the rare elite enemy Darkfuse Precipitant in the Undermine zone. To summon this rare enemy, you'll need to unlock the secret fifth cartel — Darkfuse Solutions — and reach the "Friendly" reputation level.

The mount's in-game description: "Perfect for the go-getter who wants to climb the ladder by sticking their nose into everyone else's business."

• Unique model — a goblin flying spy device that looks visually distinct from most mounts in the game
• Tied to secret content — the mount is connected to the fifth hidden cartel of Undermine, which many players don't know how to unlock
• Relatively high drop chance — community estimates put it at around 5%, which is significantly higher than most rare mounts
• Counts toward your overall mount collection for collector achievements

Obtaining the mount involves several preparation stages:

1. A level 80 character with access to Undermine
2. Complete the Liberation of Undermine raid — you must kill the final boss, Trade Prince Gallywix, on any difficulty (including Story)
3. Complete the quest "Liberation of Undermine: The House Always Loses" — the story conclusion of the raid
4. Unlock the Darkfuse Solutions faction — pick up a letter in the Noncontinental Hotel and complete the introductory quest
5. Reach "Friendly" reputation with Darkfuse Solutions — to purchase the summoning item
6. Accumulate 100 Resonance Crystals — the currency to buy the Canister of Darkfuse Solution

Darkfuse Solutions is the secret fifth cartel of Undermine, which doesn't appear in the standard faction list until it's unlocked. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete the Raid

Complete the Liberation of Undermine raid on any difficulty and kill the final boss — Chrome King Gallywix. Story difficulty works too.

Step 2: Complete the Story Quest

After defeating Gallywix, complete the quest "Liberation of Undermine: The House Always Loses."

Step 3: Find the Letter in the Hotel

Return to Undermine and head into the Noncontinental Hotel. On the reception desk in the lobby lies an "Excessively Sealed Letter."

Interact with the letter — you'll receive the quest "Diversified Investments."

Step 4: Find Snazzy Bunkpossum

The quest will direct you to Snazzy Bunkossum — the quartermaster of Darkfuse Solutions. He's located in the Undermine sewers.

Turn in the quest to Snazzy Bunkossum — the Darkfuse Solutions faction will be unlocked.

To purchase the Canister of Darkfuse Solution, you need the "Friendly" reputation level.

Reputation is earned through the Market Research currency. For every 100 Market Research, you turn in to Snazzy Bunkossum in exchange for a Darkfuse Solutions Trinket Box, which grants 500 reputation points.

Where to Get Market Research

Tip: Excavating S.C.R.A.P. piles is considered the most steady and reliable way to farm Market Research. With efficient farming, you can earn around 4000 reputation per hour.

Reaching the "Friendly" level requires roughly 600 Market Research (about 1–2 hours of farming).

Once you've reached the "Friendly" level with Darkfuse Solutions:

1. Buy the Canister of Darkfuse Solution from Snazzy Bunkossum for 100 Resonance Crystals
2. Head to Decontamination Station X1119
   • Coordinates: /way Undermine 40.6 91.8 Decontamination Station X1119
3. Use the Canister of Solution on the station's pylon.
4. The Darkfuse Precipitant will appear — a rare elite level 80 water elemental.
5. Kill it and collect the loot.

Important: You don't have to summon the enemy yourself. If another player used a Canister of Solution and summoned the Darkfuse Precipitant, you can join the fight and get the loot. Watch the zone chat and rare enemy announcements.

The full sequence of actions from start to obtaining the mount:

1. Complete the Liberation of Undermine raid and kill Trade Prince Gallywix (any difficulty)
2. Complete the story quest "Liberation of Undermine: The House Always Loses"
3. Go into the Noncontinental Hotel and pick up the letter on the desk (43.2, 51.6)
4. Complete the quest "Diversified Investments" — find Snazzy Bunkossum in the sewers (29.7, 41.1)
5. Earn Market Research by killing mobs and excavating S.C.R.A.P. piles
6. Turn in 100 Market Research at a time to Snazzy Bunkossum for Trinket Boxes
7. Reach the "Friendly" level (~600 Market Research)
8. Buy the Canister of Darkfuse Solution for 100 Resonance Crystals
9. Use the Canister at Decontamination Station X1119 (40.6, 91.8)
10. Kill the Darkfuse Precipitant and hope for the mount drop (~5%)

Weekly Attempts

Loot from the Darkfuse Precipitant is tied to the weekly reset — you can get loot once per week per character.

The calculation is probabilistic — the real number of attempts may vary either higher or lower.

Cost per Attempt

Each summoning attempt costs 100 Resonance Crystals for the Canister of Solution. Resonance Crystals are a shared The War Within currency, earned by completing world quests, weekly events, and various activities in Khaz Algar.

Alternative Method — Without Summoning

You don't have to spend your own resources. You can:

• Watch the zone chat — other players regularly summon this enemy
• Use addons to track rare enemies (for example, RareScanner or SilverDragon)
• Join groups via the Group Finder (the "Custom" section)

However, you'll still only be able to get loot once per week per character, regardless of who summoned the enemy.

• Start with the raid. Without completing the Liberation of Undermine, you won't be able to unlock the Darkfuse Solutions faction. The raid's Story difficulty is available through the Group Finder and doesn't require a high gear level.
• Farm S.C.R.A.P. Excavating S.C.R.A.P. piles is the most efficient way to gather Market Research. It's steadier than hunting rare mobs.
• Don't forget about alts. The Darkfuse Solutions faction is character-bound. If you want to summon the enemy on multiple alts, each will need to unlock the faction and reach "Friendly" separately. However, you can simply join someone else's summon on alts without reputation.
• The weekly reset happens every Wednesday (for EU servers). Don't forget to use all your attempts before the reset.
• Resonance Crystals are a shared currency — spend them wisely. If you're actively farming the mount, prioritize buying Canisters of Solution.
• Group coordination. If several players in a group have Canisters, you can take turns summoning the enemy, but each will only get loot once per week.
