Malavita
Malavita first discovered World of Warcraft in Draenor, but truly got into the game with the Shadowlands expansion. Has a soft spot for Demon Hunters and Mages. Considers her main goal to be collecting as many mounts as possible.

Darnassian Nightsaber is a ground mount of the Alliance faction, added to World of Warcraft in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion (patch 3.1.0). It is a graceful battle nightsaber with a purple coat and golden ornaments characteristic of the night elves of Darnassus.
The mount is purchased from Rook Hawkfist — the Darnassus quartermaster at the Argent Tournament Grounds — for 100 Champion's Seals. To buy it, you must play a night elf or earn the Champion of Darnassus achievement.
If your character is a night elf, access to the Darnassus quartermaster opens automatically after reaching the rank of Champion of any city. Characters of other Alliance races will need to separately complete the Valiant questline for Darnassus.
The Argent Tournament Grounds are located in the northeastern part of the Icecrown zone on the continent of Northrend.
The path to the mount is split into two stages: ranking up to the title Champion of Darnassus and collecting 100 Champion's Seals for the purchase.
Progression at the Argent Tournament goes through three ranks: Aspirant, Valiant and Champion.
Aspirant (3 days)
Valiant (5 days)
Champion
After the victory you earn the Champion of Darnassus achievement and access to the quartermaster Rook Hawkfist. The minimum time from start to the Champion title is 8 days (if Darnassus is your home city) or 13 days (if you first need to become Champion of your home city).
After earning the Champion title, daily quests that reward Champion's Seals open up. On average you can earn 7–14 seals per day, depending on the number of cities unlocked and whether you hold the Crusader title.
Main sources of seals:
Earning 7–10 seals per day, collecting 100 will take roughly 10–14 days of daily quests. With the Crusader title — 7–8 days.
The "Crusader" title is awarded for earning the Champion title of all five cities of your faction and reaching exalted with all five capital factions. After that, additional daily quests open up that increase your daily seal earnings to 12–14. Ranking up all five cities takes about 25 days from the start, but it pays off in the long run if you are collecting several mounts.
| Stage | Duration |
|---|---|
| Aspirant | 3 days |
| Valiant (Darnassus) | 5 days |
| Collecting 100 seals (7–10/day) | 10–14 days |
| Total (night elf) | 18–22 days |
| Total (other race) | 23–27 days |
If you are already a Crusader and earn 12–14 seals per day, collecting 100 seals shortens to 7–8 days.
If your goal is to collect the entire series of five city mounts (500 seals total), it is more efficient to first become Champion of all five cities and earn the Crusader title. This takes more time at the start but significantly speeds up further seal earnings.
Start with your home city — if your character is a night elf, you get access to the Darnassus quartermaster right after reaching the Champion rank, skipping the need to separately complete the questline for that city. This saves 5 days
Combine quests — most of the Argent Tournament daily quests are done in the same areas of Icecrown. Plan your route so you do not fly back and forth
Don't skip the heroic Trial of the Champion — the Trial of the Champion dungeon is cleared in a few minutes at level 90 in Midnight and gives 3 seals per run
Buy the tournament tabard — the
Argent Crusader's Tabard (50 seals) teleports you to the tournament grounds every 30 minutes, sparing you from flying through Dalaran every time
Tournament lance is a must — for the lists quests, equip a tournament lance from the weapon racks near the training dummies. Keep 3 charges of the shield (the "Defend" ability), attack with the lance at range and finish in melee
At level 90 it is all easy — all Argent Tournament tasks, including mounted jousts and group quests, are easily soloed at max level in Midnight. A full cycle of dailies takes 15–20 minutes
Use alts — Champion's Seals are bound to the character, but the mount becomes account-wide. If you have several Alliance characters with ranked-up titles, save seals in parallel and buy different mounts on different characters
