Dawncrazed Beast Cleaver — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Dawncrazed Beast Cleaver is a one-handed cleaver axe in the bright, "sun-touched" aesthetic of the blood elves. The blade is shaped like a predatory beast with golden-white facets, while the haft is adorned with motifs of high magic and a radiant dawn. The model captures the theme of harnessed light that has colored the nature of Eversong Woods in the Midnight expansion.
This is an epic axe of item level 263 on the "Champion" upgrade track, requiring level 90. In terms of stats it matches the gear of the current season's world boss, but it is valued first and foremost as transmog: its bright golden-white model suits the looks of paladins, warriors of the Light, and blood elves.
Source
The axe drops from a world boss in Eversong Woods.
- It drops from the world boss Lu'ashal — a gigantic beast swollen with the overwhelming energy of the Light coursing through it.
- The boss is located in Eversong Woods, roughly at the coordinates 45.2, 60.
- Midnight world bosses operate on a weekly rotation: only one is active at a time, and its appearance is marked on the map by a world quest with a skull icon.
- Defeating the active boss is possible once per week per character and is guaranteed to grant a piece of "Champion"-level gear.
- Wait for the week when Lu'ashal is the active boss and kill it — the axe may drop among the other loot.
Since this is a world boss with a weekly lockout, farming the appearance stretches out over weeks: each week Lu'ashal is active you get a single chance at the drop.
Who It Suits Visually
- It fits looks themed around the Light and the blood elves — the golden-white palette matches paladin sets and solar magic.
- It harmonizes with white and gold plate sets, especially in the style of the orders of the Light and the Silver Vanguard.
- It looks great paired with a matching one-handed weapon from the same set for the look of a two-handed wielding warrior of the Light.
- It contrasts with the dark, crimson sets of the Void — a debatable but striking "light versus darkness" combination.
Tips
Keep an eye on the weekly world quest with the skull icon: it shows which world boss is active that week.
You can kill Lu'ashal for the drop once per week per character, so bring in alts to speed up the farm.
The world boss is designed for a group: gather a party through the world quest or join a raid right on the spot.
The appearance is bound to the party until used, so the axe you obtain can be handed to the right character on your account and applied specifically on them.
Don't rush to use the item if you want to pass it to another character: once applied, it will be locked to your current hero.
Alongside the appearance, the world boss also drops other "Champion"-level gear, which is useful for gearing up alts at the start of the season.
