Get Deathbringer's Shadowcycle mount
Overview

The
Deathbringer's Shadowcycle is a demonic ground motorcycle that entered the World of Warcraft database on the test servers of patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream" during the Dragonflight expansion. The item was originally flagged as a Trading Post reward, but it never made it into the final release of the patch and remained unavailable for a long time. With patch 11.0.5 (The War Within) the developers repurposed this entry: the model and item ID 211075 are now effectively tied to the mount that players know as
Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle. The active item that teaches this felcycle in the current client is
Keys to Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle.
If you came here for the "purple demonic motorcycle" from the early 10.2 leaks, this guide explains that all that remains of the original
Deathbringer's Shadowcycle is its name, and what real path leads today to the fel-powered motorcycle model itself.
Why You Want This Mount
- A unique demonic motorcycle model — this is a rare "bike" in the WoW mount collection, styled after the Fel and the Burning Legion. It looks similar to the
Voidfire Deathcycle but has its own coloring - Speed 10 out of 10 — as a ground mount it grants +60% or +100% movement speed depending on your riding skill, just like any modern ground transport
- A memento of Dragonflight datamining — for collectors and game historians it is an interesting example of a "ghost mount" that existed in the database, was announced, but was never implemented under its original name
- A link to anniversary content — the actual way to obtain this model runs through the Ratts' Revenge scenario, one of the largest secrets in WoW history, released for the game's 20th anniversary
- Account-wide — once obtained it unlocks on all characters of your account regardless of faction and class
Current Status of the Item
The
Deathbringer's Shadowcycle in its original form is unavailable in game. The entry exists in the database, but no source grants players this exact item. If you want to obtain that very demonic motorcycle model, you need to aim for
Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle — a mount spell with the same spell ID (428013) that players receive through the item
Keys to Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle.
How to Obtain (via Incognitro)
The actual path to the
Deathbringer's Shadowcycle model runs through the secret Ratts' Revenge scenario, added for the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft. It is a long chain of puzzles, and completing it requires that you close several preparatory achievements in advance.
- Earn the Azeroth's Greatest Detective achievement. For it you need to complete any two of the four achievements of the anniversary event "Bonus Bash" and earn the "Detective" title
- Collect the key toys for the secrets: the
Torch of Pyrreth, the
Tricked-Out Thinking Cap and the
Idol of Ohn'ahra from the "Secrets of Azeroth" quest line, as well as the new
Starry-Eyed Goggles - Talk to the surviving Dalaran resident in the Stonevault Atrium of Dornogal while bearing the "Detective" title. She will give the quest "Ratts' Race"
- Follow the clues to assemble the mysterious stone and the inert mysterious key, traveling across Azj-Kahet, Dornogal and the Un'Goro Crater
- In the Karazhan catacombs, combine the items and use the
Torch of Pyrreth to open a portal into the Ratts' Revenge scenario - Inside the scenario is a room with twelve pylons around the felcycle. Solve the puzzles tied to the pylons. The mount itself is awarded for solving the ninth puzzle
- After receiving the
Keys to Incognitro, use the item, and
Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle will appear in the mount collection of all your characters
Preparatory Achievements
For the "Detective" title you need to close any two of the four below. They are all tied to the anniversary event "Bonus Bash", available in Tanaris during the event and later moved to Dornogal.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| I Saved the Party and All I Got Was This Silly Hat | Complete the "Bonus Bash" storyline |
| Assistant to the Assistant Steward | Close all the hidden local stories of "Bonus Bash" |
| Crate Insurance Agent | Find and turn in 6 festive crates |
| No Crate Left Behind | Find and turn in all festive crates |
After obtaining two of the four, you automatically receive the Azeroth's Greatest Detective meta-achievement and the "Detective" title, without which the Surviving Dalaran Resident in Dornogal simply will not give the quest.
The "Ratts' Revenge" Scenario — 12 Puzzles
Inside the Karazhan catacombs lies a round room, with the
felcycle itself standing in the center, surrounded by 12 pylons arranged like a clock face. Each pylon requires a separate puzzle. The mount is awarded for the 9th, while the other three unlock a transmog set and the "Radiant Songbird" achievement.
- Anagram — decipher a set of letters into a meaningful phrase
- Old Gods — dress a pug in an Old God costume, use the twitching eye, and /pray at the obelisk in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms
- Decryption Consoles — enter 9 codes into hidden terminals while wearing the
Starry-Eyed Goggles - Doomguide — summon a doomguard at Uther's tomb using a Fel scroll
- Golden Cupcake — defeat Jeremy Feasel on the Timeless Isle in a pet battle
- Altars of Acquisition — use themed mounts, pets and toys at five altars in Zul'Gurub
- Owl of the Keepers — a multi-step puzzle with a guardian owlet
- The Enigma Machine — count the rats and arrange the statues in the right order
- Cryptic Tablet — enter the code 84847078 on the final console (grants the mount itself)
- Strange Sight — a quest with Heck the Hungry Hornswog
- Radiant Songbird — a coordinated chain of emotes for 40 players (optional, grants a "Feat of Strength")
- Twilight Lily — find and escort the freed lily to Golk Boombox
A Realistic Time Estimate
Completing "Ratts' Revenge" from scratch is one of the longest secret adventures in WoW history. Community estimates vary, but on average you will need:
- 18–24 hours of active play assuming you already have all the toys and the "Secrets of Azeroth" achievements
- Several evenings to collect the preparatory "Bonus Bash" achievements if you did not take part in the anniversary event
- Extra time to coordinate with other players for a number of the group puzzles
If you have already closed "Secrets of Azeroth" and collected the
Torch of Pyrreth,
Tricked-Out Thinking Cap and
Idol of Ohn'ahra toys, the path to the felcycle will take considerably less time.
Tips
Close the "Secrets of Azeroth" achievements in advance — three of the key toys are tied to this long quest line. If you skipped them, start there, otherwise you will get stuck at the very first stage of "Ratts' Revenge"
Coordinate through the community — puzzles 6, 7 and 11 are significantly easier to complete with a group
The mount remains a ground mount — despite the demonic design and community requests to give
Incognitro flight, for now it is a ground-only mount. Do not count on using it as a flying equivalent
Do not buy individual items from boosters in advance — the puzzle sequence is tied to the character's personal progress. Mount boosts most often work by completing the whole secret on your account rather than by handing over individual items
Keep the Mysterious Key and stone — if you interrupted your run, both halves of the key stay in your inventory and do not burn out between sessions

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
