Overview

Укус смерти

Game iconDeath's Bite is an epic-quality two-handed axe that debuted in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The weapon suits classes that wield two-handed axes: Warriors, Death Knights, Paladins, and Enhancement Shamans.

The axe model is steeped in a grim, Scourge-themed aesthetic: a broad serrated blade with bone and metal accents, a dark haft, and a cold blue-steel palette. The look perfectly captures the undead and Scourge theme tied to its source.

The item level is low by modern standards, but for transmog it is this recognizable model that matters — one of the classic weapon silhouettes of the Wrath of the Lich King era.

Source

The axe drops in the Naxxramas raid — the Scourge's flying citadel, hovering above Dragonblight in Northrend.

  • The weapon is obtained from the raid's final boss — Kel'Thuzad.
  • The drop chance is around 8.7%, so the axe does not always drop on the first try.
  • The drop comes from the 10-player version of the raid.
  • This is outdated content, so the raid is easy to clear solo at max level — no group is needed.

To reach the boss you need to clear all of Naxxramas up to the Construct Quarter and Kel'Thuzad's chamber. Since farming is limited by the weekly raid reset, an unlucky drop streak means returning every week.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Ideal for Death Knight looks themed around the Scourge and undeath.
  • Harmonizes with plate sets in the dark blue-steel palette from Wrath of the Lich King content.
  • Pairs well with bone and "necromantic" armor sets.
  • Contrasts with bright and gilded gear, so for ceremonial looks a different axe is a better choice.

Tips

1

Naxxramas can be soloed at max level with ease, so group help is not required.

2

A drop chance of about 8.7% means farming may stretch over several weeks due to the weekly raid reset.

3

You can enter the raid once per week per character, so farming on multiple heroes speeds up getting the axe.

4

Once you unlock the appearance, you have it in your collection forever — you do not have to keep wearing the axe for transmog.

5

Alongside Kel'Thuzad, other Naxxramas bosses drop additional Scourge-era transmog, so the run is never wasted.

6

You can check whether you have the appearance in the appearances collection under the two-handed axes section.
