Overview

Дубинка обитателя глубин

Game iconDeep-Dweller's Cudgel is a one-handed mace added in The War Within expansion. It is a crude underground weapon with a massive stone head and twisted inlays, finished in the earthy-brown palette of the kobold cave dwellers beneath Khaz Algar.

The appearance fits looks tied to dungeons, mines, and kobold tribes. In silhouette it is a short, hefty club, so it suits shaman, rogue, and monk melee sets alike.

In the game the item appears in several variants with different random stat bonuses, but they all use the same model, so for your transmog collection it does not matter which variant you happen to get.

Source

The mace drops in the delve Kriegval's Rest — a scenario on the Isle of Dorn, in the central part of the region not far from Dornogal.

  • The drop source is the delve's final boss, Tomb-Raider Drywhisker, a large elite kobold.
  • The delve is designed for levels 70–80 and can be completed both solo and in a small group.
  • The item binds to your character when equipped, so you need to unlock the appearance on the character who picked it up.
  • The drop chance is the same as for any ordinary green drop — you may get nothing in a single run, so it makes sense to repeat the delve.

Clearing the delve at higher tiers is not required just for the appearance: the model is identical at any difficulty, so the easiest clear is enough for transmog.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It harmonizes with sets in an earthy-brown and stony-gray palette — miner armor, leather kits of cave explorers.
  • It works for looks in the style of the Khaz Algar dungeons and kobold themes.
  • It fits shaman and monk sets where you want a hefty but unceremonious melee weapon look.
  • It contrasts with bright metallic plate — it can serve as a deliberately "wild" accent in hand.
  • It looks good paired with a one-handed axe from the same set for an all-rounder fighter look.

Tips

1

The appearance unlocks from any variant of the item — the random stat bonuses do not affect the look.

2

If you do not want to farm the drop, look for the "Stashed Deep-Dweller's Cudgel" variant: it adds the appearance to your collection right away.

3

The "Kriegval's Rest" delve is convenient to run solo at level 80 — the final boss goes down quickly that way.

4

A single run with the boss may also drop the axe from the same set, so it is worth collecting both appearances in one series of runs.

5

Remember that the item binds when equipped: unlock the appearance on the character who picked up the loot.

6

Since this is a green drop, do not count on guaranteed loot on the first try — plan for several repeat runs of the delve.
