Get Demise
Overview

Demise is an epic two-handed mace from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is a massive mace with a heavy, faceted head on a long shaft, rendered in a cold gray-steel palette with a faint turquoise glow — the signature visual language of Naxxramas, the citadel of the Scourge.
The mace suits warriors, paladins, death knights, and shamans — that is, every specialization able to wield a two-handed blunt weapon. In silhouette it is a "heavy" hammer: the imposing head and severe lines make the model striking even from a distance.
For transmog it is prized precisely for its model and Scourge theme rather than its stats — its item level has long been irrelevant, and today the item is farmed solely for the appearance.
Source
Demise drops in the Naxxramas raid — a large Scourge stronghold hovering above Dragonblight.
- The main source is Gluth, the boss of the Construct Quarter. Gluth has no fixed loot table of his own and can drop almost any item from the four main wings of the raid, including this mace.
- Additionally, the appearance can be found in the 10-player version of the raid from Heigan the Unclean, the boss of the Plague Quarter.
- The item has no exact drop chance: Gluth's loot is random, so a single run may not be enough.
- There are no attempt limits — the raid is run once per week per character, and you can enter on every eligible character on your account.
Naxxramas is located near Dragonblight in Northrend. The content belongs to Wrath of the Lich King and can be soloed today without much trouble, so all the farming comes down to a weekly clear of the raid.
Who It Suits Visually
- It pairs well with Scourge- and undead-themed sets — the gray-steel palette echoes the armor from Naxxramas and Icecrown Citadel.
- It harmonizes with plate sets in cold tones: steel, ice, turquoise glow.
- It looks great in death knight outfits thanks to its grim silhouette and hues.
- It contrasts with gold and red sets — a debatable but eye-catching combination for bold looks.
Tips
Gluth drops random loot from the entire raid, so the mace may not drop in a single run — farm it regularly, once a week.
It is worthwhile to enter with several characters on your account: each of them grants a separate attempt per week.
Soloing Naxxramas takes little time at the current level, so the run is worth combining with farming other appearances and mounts from the raid.
The two-handed mace can be used in transmog by warriors, paladins, death knights, and shamans — check that the appearance is available to your class.
Besides this mace, Naxxramas remains a source of many Scourge-themed appearances — it makes sense to collect them in a single run.
The appearance is saved to your collection after the first acquisition and becomes available for transmogrification on all eligible characters.
