How to Unlock Demon Hunter for Void Elves

In the Midnight expansion, Demon Hunters gained the ability to choose the Void Elf race. This race gives Demon Hunters new racial bonuses and appearance options, which is especially interesting for the new Demon Hunter specialization — Consumption.

To unlock the class, you need to complete a short quest chain and earn the achievement Fury of the Ren'dorei.

The quest chain begins in the Silvermoon City zone. Near the exit of the starting inn, the NPC Emissary Aelor will be waiting to give you the first quest.

Below, we'll walk you through each quest in the chain step by step and explain how to complete them.

Lessons in the Void

In this part of the quest, you need to talk to the NPC Emissary Aelor, who will open a portal and send you to K'aresh. Talk to Umbric, who will be standing near the spot where you arrive.

Void Hunter

In this quest, you need to visit two NPCs located near Umbric, after which you'll be sent to kill three Void Storm mobs and use a special ability to lure a cosmic worm. Once you've gathered enough energy, proceed to the location marked on the map and press the special action button on a small altar, which will summon Ramon'th. After killing the worm, return to Umbric and speak with the NPC next to him.

Desiccated Lands

After speaking with Adar Twilight Flash, you'll head to an altar sealed by three pylons. You need to find the key for each one.

Part of Something Greater

You need to find three keys that will allow you to seal the three pylons. To do this, find and kill special mobs in the zones marked on the map. Each zone contains its own key, so you can't get all three in one zone. After collecting the keys, lock the pillars holding the crystal and interact with it.

Confluence of Void Forces

In this quest, you need to head to a cave in Lacuna Rift where a ritual is taking place. Make your way into the cave and speak with Leona.

Pure Darkness

At the two ends of the cave, there are crystals. One is near the cave entrance, and the other is at the very end. You need to activate the crystals and defend them from attacking mobs, then return to Leona.

Chaos

After speaking with Adar, you'll begin the ritual. Wait for a portal to appear, then interact with Adar, pushing him into the void portal.

The Insatiable Void

After speaking with Leona, return to Umbric and listen to the story of what happened. After that, Leona will leave the area.

The Pursuit Continues

In this part of the quest, you need to find Leona and Allari. Their locations are shown on the map, but they are below, not above. After finding them, speak with Leona.

Retributive Justice

You need to help Leona defeat the demon Vraxik, the Interdimensional Wanderer. After defeating the demon, return to Magister Umbric. Turning in the quest will earn you the achievement and unlock the ability to choose Demon Hunter for Void Elves.

• To get the required quest, you must first unlock the Void Elf allied race and have a level 80 character of that race.

• You can unlock the class with any character of any race. The achievement is account-wide, so you don't have to complete the quests as a Void Elf.

• Unlocking the class does not affect the new Demon Hunter specialization — Consumption in any way. This specialization is available without any quests and is open to both Horde and Alliance.
