Elder Glowmite
Overview

Elder Glowmite is a flying mount shaped like a large glowing moth, added in patch 11.0.0 alongside the Midnight expansion. You can obtain it from the vendor Mothkeeper Wew'tam in Harandar by collecting all 120 glowing moths scattered across the zone. The mount does not depend on a random drop — it is a guaranteed reward for diligent collecting.
Why Collect the Moths
Beyond the mount itself, hunting glowing moths unlocks a whole set of rewards:
- Mounts: Elder Glowmite (for 120 moths) and
Vivid Chloroceros (for 50 moths) - Transmog weapons: daggers, swords, staves, shields, and halberds in the haranir style
- Housing decor: pillows, blankets, beds
- Achievement: Dust 'Em Off — for collecting all 120 moths
- Title: Dustlord
Every moth you find grants 1 unit of the currency Luminous Dust, and every item at the vendor costs 10 units of this currency.
Requirements to Obtain
To purchase the Elder Glowmite, you must meet two conditions:
- Collect all 120 glowing moths — without this, the item will not appear in the vendor's inventory
- Reach renown level 9 with the Hara'ti faction — otherwise the final set of moths will not physically appear in the zone
The moths are split into three sets of 40, each of which unlocks at a specific renown level:
| Set | Amount | Renown level to appear | Minimap visibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| First (red) | 40 | 1 | From level 2 |
| Second (blue) | 40 | 4 | From level 6 |
| Third (green) | 40 | 9 | From level 11 |
The moths are small glowing objects that you can pick up simply by approaching them. They are account-bound via the Warband system — you can collect them on any character.
How to Reach Harandar
Harandar is a Midnight expansion zone, accessible after completing the Eversong campaign.
First visit:
- Complete the Eversong campaign in Silvermoon
- Select Harandar on the Midnight Scouting Map in the Temple of Light
- You will be directed to an NPC in the village of Fairvale, who will open a portal to Harandar
Later visits:
- Portal in Silvermoon — located in the western part of the city, in the Garden of Memory, beneath a tree. Interact with the rootway to teleport directly to the Lair — the main city of Harandar
- Hearthstone — set it in Harandar for a quick return
There are no flight points in Harandar, so the portal and hearthstone are the only ways to quickly reach the zone.
Where to Find the Vendor
Mothkeeper Wew'tam is located in the Lair — the central city of Harandar.
She sells all rewards for Luminous Dust. Her inventory expands as you collect moths — items appear gradually:
| Item | Moths to unlock | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Grovekeeper's Kris | 10 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Dagger | 20 | 10 dust |
| Sturdy Haranir Pillow | 30 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Rapier | 40 | 10 dust |
| 50 | 10 dust | |
| Warm Haranir Blanket | 60 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Buckler | 70 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Staff | 80 | 10 dust |
| Haranir Bed | 90 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Halberd | 100 | 10 dust |
| Grovekeeper's Greatsword | 110 | 10 dust |
| Elder Glowmite (mount) | 120 | 10 dust |
Step-by-Step Guide to Obtaining
Step 1. Start the Harandar Campaign
After arriving in the zone, complete the introductory quests. At Hara'ti renown level 1, the first 40 moths will appear in the zone. The quest "Where the Dust Dances" will introduce you to Mothkeeper Wew'tam.
Step 2. Collect Moths Alongside Renown Progress
The moths require no combat — just approach and pick them up. They are located all across the zone, often near roads and landmarks. The most efficient approach is to collect them along the way while completing world tasks and daily activities.
Step 3. Raise Renown to Level 9
The main sources of Hara'ti renown:
- World tasks in Harandar — the main repeatable source
- Special assignments in the zone
- Story and side quests of Harandar
- Contract: Hara'ti — lets you earn renown from world tasks in any Midnight zone
- Weekly event "Legends of Harandar" — grants a large portion of renown
- Weekly quest from Silvermoon for dungeons
- Treasures and lore objects in Harandar — one-time, but useful
Renown applies to all characters within your Warband, so progress is not lost when switching characters.
Step 4. Install a Finder Addon
The HandyNotes: Midnight addon marks all moth locations on the in-game map with filtering by renown level. Without the addon, you will have to rely on the minimap, but moths only appear on it once you reach a sufficient renown level (2, 6, and 11 for each set respectively).
Step 5. Buy the Mount
Once all 120 moths are collected, return to Mothkeeper Wew'tam and purchase the Elder Glowmite for 10 units of Luminous Dust.
Collection Tips
- Don't ignore the moths from the start — collect them along the way while doing world tasks. By the time you reach renown level 9, you will already have a sizable collection
- Use the addon HandyNotes: Midnight to track found and unfound moths. Without it, hunting down the last few becomes a tedious chore
- Check caves and out-of-the-way spots — some moths are hidden off the beaten path
- Collect on a character with fast movement — a druid in travel form or any class with a speed bonus will speed up the process
- The currency is account-bound — Luminous Dust is shared across your Warband, so you can collect moths on different characters
- Don't forget to buy both mounts — the Vivid Chloroceros is available after just 50 moths and costs the same 10 units of dust

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
