Gilded Riding Crane

The Gilded Riding Crane is an epic ground crane mount added in patch 10.2.7 (May 7, 2024) during the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria world event. The mount is sold for the event's internal gold currency — Bronze — by the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII at any Infinite Bazaar in Pandaria.

The item's flavor text tells how an emperor once paid an enormous sum for a golden crane, only to discover that the bird was merely painted to look like the precious metal, and out of shame secluded himself for a week. The crane appears as a massive Pandaren bird in a gilded harness and lavish ceremonial ornaments.

The mount is an event exclusive: once the first run ended (May 16 – August 20, 2024), it cannot be acquired in normal play. Watch for the event's return to add the mount to your collection.

To buy the mount you need to create a Timerunner character, level it up in the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event and accumulate 2,200 Bronze.

1. Wait for the active phase of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. The first run took place from May 16 to August 20, 2024; the return date has not yet been announced
2. Create a Timerunner character of any class and race and complete the introductory scene in Pandaria
3. Level up to 70 by completing Pandaria story chains, daily quests, scenarios, dungeons and raids
4. Collect Bronze from every possible source — it drops from almost every mob, is found in containers and is awarded for quests
5. Accumulate at least 2,200 Bronze to buy the mount (or more if you plan to take other rewards)
6. Head to any Infinite Bazaar in Pandaria and find Hemet Nesingwary XVII
7. Purchase the Reins of the Gilded Riding Crane and use the item to add the mount to your collection

Hemet Nesingwary XVII is present at every Infinite Bazaar, and the inventory is the same for all vendors. Choose the nearest point.

Infinite Bazaars are visible only to Timerunner characters and are inaccessible on regular characters outside the event.

The event shop offers six color variants of the same crane. They all cost the same and are bought from a single vendor, so with enough Bronze it pays to assemble the full set.

Bronze is the main currency of the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event. You can accumulate 2,200 units for one mount in a couple of hours of active play, but the full collection from Hemet Nesingwary XVII requires over 500,000 Bronze.

Main Sources

1. Story and daily quests — every Pandaria quest grants a fixed amount of Bronze; completing the main storyline first is recommended.
2. Scenarios and dungeons — completing them grants a large one-time reward plus Bronze from bosses.
3. Raids — the most efficient source: every Pandaria boss in the event format gives a significant amount of Bronze and epic items for conversion.
4. Cache of Infinite Treasure containers — awarded for quests and events, guaranteed to contain Bronze.
5. Converting unneeded items — gear that does not match your level is exchanged for Bronze through a special window.

Efficient Farming Methods

• Clearing heroic versions of Pandaria raids — yields an average of 4,000–8,000 Bronze per full raid plus a chance at rare retail-era mounts.
• A full cycle of daily quests at max level gives a steady 2,000–3,000 Bronze per day.
• Leveling additional Timerunner characters — each new character runs the story from scratch and brings extra Bronze through the shared experience bar.
• Scenarios in mass-event format — a favorable time-to-reward ratio, especially with a group.
