Get Great Green Elekk mount

The Great Green Elekk is an epic ground mount for the Alliance draenei, added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion (patch 2.0). It is a massive mastodon-like beast with a distinctive greenish-brown hide and a large, oversized model: the "great" elekks stand out visually against their ordinary brown, gray and purple counterparts.

The mount is sold by the elekk breeder Torallius the Pack Handler in the Exodar. A draenei character can buy the mount without any reputation restrictions, while all other Alliance races can only do so at Exalted with the Exodar faction. Unlike the ordinary elekks from the same vendor, this version belongs to the epic line and always travels at +100% speed if you have the corresponding riding skill.

• Oversized unique model — the "great" elekks are visually larger than the ordinary brown, gray and purple ones; this is a separate model, not just a recolor. Such a silhouette is clearly noticeable in capitals and in old zones
• +1 to your mount collection counter — the mount counts toward collection achievements, and at large round milestones (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) it unlocks additional rewards
• Account-wide — once purchased, the mount is unlocked for all of your Alliance characters regardless of race, class and level. A single visit to Torallius on any suitable hero is enough
• Part of a line of six elekks — the same vendor also sells five other colors: three ordinary (Brown Elekk, Gray Elekk, Purple Elekk) and two epic (Great Blue Elekk, Great Purple Elekk). A single trip to Torallius closes out the entire line at once

The only way is to buy the Great Green Elekk from the vendor in the Exodar. If your character is a draenei, the procedure takes a few minutes. For the other Alliance races, you must first raise your reputation with the Exodar to Exalted.

1. Get to the Exodar — the draenei capital on Azuremyst Isle. The fastest route is the portal from the mage quarter in Stormwind
2. Make sure you have learned the Artisan Riding skill — this is what unlocks ground mounts with epic +100% speed. Without this skill, the "great" elekk will travel at +60% speed
3. If your character is not a draenei, check your reputation with the Exodar faction. You need Exalted status, otherwise Torallius will not show the epic elekks in the trade window
4. Walk to the elekk pens in the northern part of the city and find Torallius the Pack Handler near the live elekks
5. Open the trade window and buy the Great Green Elekk for 10 gold (the price decreases with high reputation with the Exodar — up to a 20% discount at Exalted)
6. Use the item from your bag — it will teach the spell Great Green Elekk, and the mount will permanently appear in your collection

The Exodar is split into several sectors around the central Vault of Lights. Torallius stands in the northern part of the city — by the pens where the live elekks are kept. Next to him you will see several calmly grazing beasts; this is the main visual landmark.

The fastest route to the Exodar for a character who has Stormwind unlocked:

1. Teleport to Stormwind
2. Go to the Mage Quarter and enter the mages' hall
3. Use the portal to the Exodar
4. From the arrival platform, walk along the ring to the north — Torallius stands by the elekk pens among the live animals. If there are no elekks next to the vendor, you have come to the wrong NPC

If there is no direct portal, you can reach the Exodar by water: from Stormwind harbor take the ship to Auberdine on Azuremyst Isle, and then fly by gryphon to the Exodar.\

If you do not play a draenei, Torallius will not sell you the mount without Exalted status with the Exodar faction. Reputation builds up slowly, but without any time restrictions — you can close it out in one or two evenings at max level.

The main ways to gain reputation:

• Tabard of the Exodar. Buy the Tabard of the Exodar from the quartermaster Kadu right there in the Exodar. Equip it and run the classic Wrath of the Lich King dungeons — all reputation from kills in the dungeon will count toward the Exodar. This is the fastest way to close out the missing reputation levels
• Tournament daily quests — at the Argent Tournament Grounds in Icecrown, championing the draenei, you receive daily quests that give a noticeable boost to Exodar reputation.
• Draenei starting zone quests — Azuremyst Isle and the neighboring Bloodmyst Isle contain dozens of quests that grant Exodar reputation. This is relevant if you have an alt going through the starting chain

If you ever farmed reputation on a draenei alt or completed quests in the starting zones, some of the progress may already be accumulated. Before heading out, open the reputation tab and check how much is left until Exalted — perhaps a couple of dungeons with the tabard will be enough.

• Do not confuse the "great" elekks with the ordinary ones — Brown, Gray and Purple are small elekks for 1 gold each and with variable speed. The Great Blue, Green and Purple are separate epic models for 10 gold and always at +100%. In the mount collection they count as six different entries
• Torallius is not in the trade quarter — look for him near the live elekks in the northern part of the Exodar. If there are no animal pens around the vendor, you got the wrong sector
• Do not confuse Torallius with Kadu — the quartermaster Kadu sells tabards and reputation rewards, but not mounts. Only Torallius in the pens to the north of the central hall sells the elekks
• The fastest way without reputation is to make a draenei — if you create a trial or full draenei character, complete the starting quests and get the hero to minimum riding level, the mount can be bought without any reputation. After that the elekk goes into the shared account collection, and all of your Alliance characters will be able to use it
• The reputation discount works — an Exalted character gets up to a 20% discount on the mount price and on learning riding skills from the Exodar faction. On large sums it is small change, but across the full line of six elekks the savings are already noticeable
• Lightforged draenei are a separate race — if you play a Lightforged draenei, keep in mind: you need to be Exalted with the Exodar just like a non-draenei. The racial pass into Torallius's shop works only for ordinary draenei
• The mount is cross-account and cross-class — it is enough to buy it once on any Alliance character, and the elekk unlocks for all heroes on your account, including future characters
