Green Skeletal Warhorse

Green Skeletal Warhorse is an epic ground mount of the Forsaken, one of three large skeletal warhorses sold by the Undercity. It is a massive bony steed with a greenish glow, equipped with armor and battle harness — a horse raised from the dead alongside its fallen rider. The mount was added to WoW back in patch 1.11 and has remained in the game ever since: in Midnight it can be purchased freely without any additional quest chains.

The vendor is Zachariah Post, a seller of undead horses. After the destruction of the old Undercity during Battle for Azeroth, his camp was moved to the Ruins of Lordaeron in Tirisfal Glades. For a Forsaken character this is one of the simplest purchases in the mount collection, while all other Horde races will need Exalted reputation with the Undercity faction.

• Epic bony steed model — unlike the four basic skeletal horses, the warhorse variants are larger, heavier and covered in decorative armor. The green tint suits characters of classes tied to poison and dark magic well: rogues, demon hunters and warlocks
• One of the cheapest epic purchases in the game — only 10 gold for an epic-quality mount. By comparison, most other epics cost 100 gold and up
• Adds to your mount collection — the mount counts toward the overall tally and helps close threshold achievements at 100, 200, 300 and more steeds
• The complete set of skeletal warhorses — Zachariah Post also sells the Brown Skeletal Warhorse and Purple Skeletal Warhorse. While standing at his stall, it is convenient to close out the entire trio at once for 30 gold
• A thematic mount for roleplay — for a Forsaken character this is one of the key signature steeds, fully matching the faction's lore. The Undercity raises not only its warriors but also their warhorses
• Access is shared across all characters — after learning the Green Skeletal Warhorse spell for the first time, the mount appears in the shared collection and becomes available to all your Horde characters

For the undead race the mount is purchased directly, without any reputation prerequisites. The whole path fits into a few steps.

1. Wait until level 10. In Midnight, Apprentice Riding is granted automatically and free of charge — there is no need to visit a trainer or pay gold
2. Fly to Tirisfal Glades. From Orgrimmar, take the portal to the Undercity, then head northeast toward the Ruins of Lordaeron
3. Find Zachariah Post at the northeastern corner of the ruins, in a tent surrounded by bony horses. Coordinates approximately [66, 67]
4. Open the trade window. Among the offered goods, select the Green Skeletal Warhorse and confirm the purchase
5. Use the item to learn the mount spell. After that it will become available to all your Horde characters through the collections menu

For orcs, trolls and other Horde races you need Exalted status with the Undercity. We will show the fastest path in the current patch.

Step 1. Preparation

• A max-level character (90 in Midnight) or close to it
• It is advisable to have a gold reserve for the Tabard of the Undercity and consumables for speeding up reputation
• Enable experience and reputation boosts from additional sources if available (events, potions)

Step 2. Get the Tabard of the Undercity

The Forsaken quartermaster Captain Donald Adams moved to Orgrimmar after the destruction of the Undercity. Right now he can be found on the walls of Orgrimmar, above the city's main gates, at roughly coordinates [56, 90]. A Forsaken refugee camp is also set up there. From the quartermaster you can buy the Tabard of the Undercity — a tabard that redirects the reputation earned in dungeons to the Undercity faction.

If you do not see Donald Adams in place, check whether you have completed the introductory Shadowlands quest at the entrance to the Maw. Due to phasing the NPC may be invisible until the story is completed.

Step 3. Choose a Farming Method

There are two main methods, and they can be combined.

Dungeon farming with the tabard. Put on the Tabard of the Undercity and run dungeons from The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm on any difficulty. Each killed creature and each boss grants reputation to your current championing. At max level, dungeons can be cleared solo in 2–5 minutes.

The most efficient dungeons for fast farming:

An important limitation: the tabard does not grant reputation in dungeons of its own expansion or in Midnight dungeons. Use old content.

Classic-zone quests. As a safety net in the early stages, complete the quest chains in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills and the Western Plaguelands. This will give starting reputation levels and introduce you to the Forsaken lore.

Step 4. Buy the Mount

After reaching Exalted with the Undercity, return to Zachariah Post in Tirisfal Glades. He will lift the restriction and let you buy any of his mounts, including the Green Skeletal Warhorse for 10 gold on par with undead characters.

• Buy the whole set at once. Three epic skeletal warhorses cost 30 gold in total and are unlocked at a single vendor.
• Close out the basic four while you are at it. The four ordinary skeletal horses cost 80 silver each and require the same access conditions. If you have not bought them yet, add the Red, Blue, Brown and Black Skeletal Horse to a single purchase
• Do not confuse old coordinates from guides. In materials from the Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm eras, Zachariah is described in the village of Brill in the center of Tirisfal Glades. After the events of Battle for Azeroth the NPC moved closer to the Ruins of Lordaeron. The current spot is [66, 67], at the northeastern corner of the ruins
• The mount does not work for the Alliance. The vendor and the mount itself are tied to the Horde. An Alliance character has no way to obtain this steed even through reputation — you will need to create a Horde character and farm Exalted there
• Check your collection before buying. If one of your characters already learned this mount earlier, the spell will be saved in the shared collection and a repeat purchase is not needed. Check the "Mounts" tab in the collections menu before visiting the vendor
• For a new Forsaken this is one of the first purchases. After obtaining the riding skill, a mount for 10 gold is an excellent choice to immediately get an epic model instead of an ordinary single-colored horse
