Get Head-Lopper Skullscythe

Head-Lopper Skullscythe is an epic two-handed staff from the Warlords of Draenor era. It is not a classic "magical" staff topped with a crystal, but a massive battle scythe: a long shaft crowned with a curved bone blade and a skull, making the weapon look like an executioner's tool rather than a healer's. The dark grey bone and the rough wrapping of the shaft echo the savage aesthetic of the Iron Horde and the Blackrock clans.

The staff is available to specializations that use Agility: druids, hunters and monks. Thanks to its scythe silhouette, it rarely reads as a "classic" staff and far more often comes across as a two-handed polearm, which makes it a coveted find for grim and martial looks.

The Head-Lopper Skullscythe drops from Oregorger, the first major foe in the Blackrock Foundry raid. The raid sits in the Gorgrond zone on Draenor and was added in the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

• The boss Oregorger stands at the start of the Slagworks wing, and you can reach him almost immediately after entering the raid.
• Raid entrance coordinates: /way Gorgrond 51 28.
• The staff drops on every difficulty — Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic — so any of them is enough for transmog.
• The appearance is identical across all versions of the item, so it is easiest to farm on the lowest difficulty.
• There is no attempt limit: the raid can be re-entered and cleared once a week on each character.
• The content belongs to an outdated expansion, so the whole raid can be soloed at max level without any real trouble. The fight with Oregorger only asks you to move a little, dodging the rolling phase, but solo at level 90 this poses no threat.

• Suits grim looks for guardian druids and undead hunters thanks to the bone blade and the skull.
• Pairs well with dark leather and mail armor in a grey-steel palette, for example with Iron Horde sets from the same expansion.
• Looks great alongside death and hunt themes thanks to the scythe shape.
• Contrasts with bright "priestly" staves, so for light sets it is better to pick a different weapon.
