Get Reins of the Illidari Felstalker mount

Reins of the Illidari Felstalker is a collectible ground mount added in patch 6.2.2. It is a demonic beast of the felstalker family, tamed by the Illidari to fight the Burning Legion. The mount's model depicts a massive predator with horns and claws, rendered in the red-and-black color scheme characteristic of Legion demons.

According to the mount journal description: "The Illidari have broken the will of some lesser demons and turned them against their own Legion masters." The beast has wrenched free from the control of its former demonic masters and is now ready to obey your commands in battle.

The mount was originally included in the Collector's Edition and Digital Collector's Edition of the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion. It later became available for separate purchase, and at present it can be obtained by entering a promo code.

There are several ways to obtain this mount. All of them involve entering a promo code or purchasing digital content.

Method 1 — Legion Collector's Edition

The mount was originally part of the physical World of Warcraft: Legion Collector's Edition, released on August 30, 2016. The box contained a promo code that had to be activated on the Battle.net website. After activation, the mount instantly appeared in the mount journal for all characters on the account.

Physical Collector's Editions can still be found among collectors and on the secondary market, but there is no guarantee that the promo code from such a box has not already been used.

Method 2 — Legion Digital Collector's Edition

The Digital Collector's Edition was purchased directly through the Battle.net app. With the purchase, the mount was added automatically, with no need to enter a code manually. This option was available as early as the expansion's pre-order stage.

Method 3 — Battle.net Shop

Starting July 11, 2021, the mount was sold separately in the Battle.net Shop and the in-game shop for 15 dollars. Later, on October 17, 2023, it was included in the "Hallow's End" bundle at a reduced price.

On October 31, 2023, the mount was removed from sale in the shop. At present, it cannot be purchased directly through the Battle.net Shop.

Method 4 — Entering a promo code

If you have a valid promo code (for example, from an unopened Collector's Edition or from a promotion), you can activate it as follows:

1. Open the Battle.net app or go to the battle.net website
2. Log in to your account
3. Click the profile icon and select "Redeem a Code"
4. Enter the promo code and confirm the activation
5. The mount will appear in the mount journal on all characters on the account

The Illidari Felstalker model is also used in two other mounts with different colorations:

• Illidari Doomhound — a darker variant, available previously
• Illidari Shadowstalker — an alternate coloration

All three mounts belong to the felstalker family — a variety of felhound tamed by the Illidari.
