Ivory Trader's Ottuk
Overview

Ivory Trader's Ottuk is an epic ground mount added in patch 10.0.0 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a snow-white ottuk from the tuskarr village of Iskaara, located in the Azure Span. The mount is purchased from Tattukiaka in exchange for three rings looted from Dragonflight dungeons.
The ottuk has a distinctive look: snow-white fur, a stout build, and the amusing gait shared by every member of the ottuk family. According to tuskarr lore, some ottuks are born white because they eat too much snow.
Why You Want This Mount
- Guaranteed acquisition — unlike mounts with a percentage drop chance, the Ivory Trader's Ottuk is purchased from a vendor. Once you have collected the three required rings, the mount is yours.
- No reputation or gold required — buying it demands neither a specific reputation level with the Iskaara Tuskarr nor any gold. The only condition is the three rings from the dungeons.
- A unique model — the white ottuk stands out among the other mounts of the ottuk family. Most ottuks have a brown or yellow coat, which makes the ivory variant especially eye-catching.
- Easy farming in the current patch — Dragonflight dungeons have become legacy content, and at level 80 you can clear them solo in just a few minutes.
- Available to all characters — once learned, the mount becomes available on every character on your account.
How to Obtain
To get the mount, you need to collect three rings from various Dragonflight dungeons and trade them to the vendor Tattukiaka in Iskaara.
- Head to the The Nokhud Offensive dungeon in the Ohn'ahran Plains. Defeat the second boss — The Raging Tempest — and receive the
Thunderous Downburst Ring - Head to the The Azure Vault dungeon in the Azure Span. Defeat the first boss — Leymor — and receive the
Unstable Arcane Loop. - Head to the Algeth'ar Academy dungeon in Thaldraszus. Defeat the boss Vexamus and receive the
Platinum Star Band. - With all three rings in your inventory, head to the village of Iskaara in the Azure Span and find Tattukiaka at coordinates 14.0, 49.6.
- Trade the rings for the
Ivory Trader's Ottuk and use the item to learn the mount.
Required Rings
All three rings drop on any dungeon difficulty — Normal, Heroic, or Mythic. The item level does not matter.
| Ring | Boss | Dungeon | Zone |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Raging Tempest (2nd boss) | The Nokhud Offensive | Ohn'ahran Plains | |
| Leymor (1st boss) | The Azure Vault | Azure Span | |
| Vexamus | Algeth'ar Academy | Thaldraszus |
How to Reach the Vendor
Tattukiaka is located in the village of Iskaara in the Azure Span. There are several ways to reach the vendor.

- Fly to the village and find the mammoth pen
- Tattukiaka stands right behind the mammoth, between two ottuks

Farming Optimization
Solo at Level 80
In the current patch 11.1, Dragonflight dungeons are legacy content. At level 80, a character clears each dungeon solo in 2–5 minutes on Normal difficulty. There is no need to gather a group or use the matchmaking system.
Farming Order
The optimal route, taking dungeon locations into account:
- Algeth'ar Academy — located in the northeast of Thaldraszus, near Valdrakken. Vexamus is the first boss in the branch, and you can reach him quickly
- The Azure Vault — located in the Azure Span. Leymor is the first boss, with a minimal number of mobs before him
- The Nokhud Offensive — located in the Ohn'ahran Plains. The Raging Tempest is the second boss, and you have to clear the first one to reach it
Repeat Runs
Normal dungeons have no weekly lockout on the number of runs. Only the standard limit applies — no more than 10 dungeons per hour per character. If a ring does not drop on the first try, you can reset the dungeon and enter again.
To reset a dungeon:
- Leave the dungeon
- Right-click your character portrait
- Select "Reset all instances"
- Enter again
Alternative Way to Get the Platinum Star Band
The ring from Algeth'ar Academy can also be obtained guaranteed as a reward for the "Algeth'ar Academy" quest, given by Kalecgos in Valdrakken. This quest requires completing the dungeon, but the ring is handed out as a quest reward rather than a random drop.
Tips
Check every difficulty — the rings drop on any difficulty. The dungeon is fastest to clear on Normal, but if you want variety, you can alternate between Heroic and Normal.
Don't sell the rings — if a ring drops, make sure you don't sell it to a vendor or scrap it. You will need it for the trade.
A second mount from the same vendor — Tattukiaka also sells the
Iskaara Trader's Ottuk for two necklaces from the Vault of the Incarnates raid. If you plan to get both mounts, you can combine your visits.
Any character will do — no reputation is required, so you can farm the rings on any level 80 character. However, the rings bind on pickup, so all three must be collected by a single character.
Use add-ons — add-ons like RareScan or TomTom will help you map a route to the dungeons and quickly locate Tattukiaka by coordinates
Visit the Darkmoon Faire — if you are leveling reputation with the tuskarr in parallel for other ottuk mounts, the carousel buff at the faire will speed up the process.
