Get Rocktusk Battleboar mount

Rocktusk Battleboar is an epic-quality ground mount added in the Warlords of Draenor expansion with patch 6.2. It is a massive armored boar with a gray-brown hide and imposing tusks, perfect for characters who prefer a brutal, down-to-earth style.

The mount is sold for ordinary gold by vendors in the Draenor garrison, so it requires no reputation, no rare drops, and no seasonal activities. The only thing you need is to upgrade your garrison Town Hall to level 3 and save up 10,000 gold.

• Completes the boar collection. There are only a handful of battleboar models in the game, and the Rocktusk is one of the key color variants.
• Achievement progress. It counts toward the overall mount-count achievements, including Lord of the Reins and the related 400/500 mount achievements that grant their corresponding rewards.
• Reliable speed. The mount uses your character's riding skill speed, so at level 80 in TWW it immediately moves at maximum ground speed.
• No RNG. Unlike rare mounts with a 1–3% drop chance, here you get a guaranteed purchase for gold.
• A great look for Orc and Dwarf characters. The model stylistically fits the Horde and mountain-race themes perfectly.

• Character level: 10+ to use the mount; in practice 40+ to complete the Draenor campaign and build the garrison.
• Riding skill: Apprentice or higher.
• Expansion: Warlords of Draenor (available to all owners of modern WoW).
• Garrison: a level 3 Town Hall in Lunarfall (Alliance) or Frostwall (Horde).
• Gold: 10,000 (no reputation discounts — the price is fixed).
• Faction: the mount is sold to both sides, but by different NPCs.

To reach the garrison, you must complete the Draenor introductory campaign (the Dark Portal, Tanaan Jungle), build the starting garrison in Shadowmoon Valley (Alliance) or Gorgrond (Horde), and upgrade the Town Hall to level 2 and then to level 3. The third Town Hall level unlocks after reaching character level 40 and completing the associated quest chain.

1. Unlock Draenor. If you haven't completed the campaign yet, pick up the quest from Khadgar in Stormwind or Orgrimmar and play through the prologue via the Dark Portal.
2. Build the garrison. Follow the storyline in Shadowmoon Valley (Alliance) or Gorgrond (Horde) until you are given the garrison blueprint.
3. Raise the Town Hall to level 2. This requires reaching a sufficient character level and spending 2,000 gold and 300 Garrison Resources.
4. Upgrade the Town Hall to level 3. This requires character level 40, 5,000 gold, and 2,000 Garrison Resources. The upgrade takes several hours of real time.
5. Enter the garrison Town Hall. After the upgrade, two new vendors selling rare goods for gold will appear there.
6. Find the right vendor.
   • Alliance: Trader Araanda — a draenei in the northeastern part of the Town Hall.
   • Horde: Trader Darakk — an orc in a similar position inside the Frostwall Town Hall.
7. Buy the mount. In the inventory, find the Rocktusk Battleboar item for 10,000 gold and purchase it.
8. Add it to your collection. Use the item from your bags — the mount is automatically added to your journal (hotkey Shift+P) and becomes available to all characters on the account.

• Combine it with other rewards from the same vendor. Araanda and Darakk also sell rare pets and transmogrification tokens — a single visit can close out several collection goals at once.
• Save up gold through garrison missions. Even in 2026, follower missions continue to bring in bags of resources and gold that you can convert at the garrison.
• Make use of offsets. The price is fixed, but you can offset the 10,000 gold by selling Draenor relics: blueprints, large bags of Garrison Resources, and cosmetics from old raids.
• Parallel farming. While running to the Rocktusk, also grab the other boar models in the same color line (the black, frozen, and bog variants — they are sold at other points in Draenor).
• One account — one purchase. The mount is account-bound, so there is no need to buy it a second time on alts.
