Get Nick of Time
Overview

Nick of Time is an epic one-hand dagger added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion with patch 10.1.5. It is a light agility blade, so in combat it is wielded by rogues, druids in combat forms, survival hunters, and demon hunters. For transmogrification the appearance is available to anyone able to equip daggers.
The model is steeped in the dark-draconic aesthetic of the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon: a narrow black blade with a greenish-bronze sheen, a massive angular guard, and a muted cold glow along the edge. The look ties directly into the theme of time — the item's flavor text reads: "Sooner or later, the Blade of Time descends upon all." The dagger fits beautifully into looks with a sand-swept, chronolithic, otherworldly aesthetic.
Beyond its ordinary stats, Nick of Time carries a special trait —
Timestrike. This effect has a chance to leave an echo on the target that deals additional damage three seconds after an ability or spell is used. Inside the dungeon Timestrike makes the weapon noticeably stronger, but for transmogrification only the blade's appearance matters.
Source
The dagger drops from the Manifested Timeways encounter — the second boss in the Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall wing of the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon. It is a physical embodiment of the sands of time, an ancient warden of the timelines.
- The dungeon sits in the Thaldraszus zone on the Dragon Isles, by the Temporal Conflux in the south-eastern part of the zone, next to the Bronze Temple, at roughly coordinates 61, 84. The fastest way to get there is by dragonriding.
- The mega-dungeon is split into two wings. Nick of Time drops in the Galakrond's Fall wing — choose that one at the entrance.
- The available difficulties are heroic and mythic, as well as the Mythic+ keystone mode. Heroic mode is queued through the group finder tool.
- Manifested Timeways is a mandatory boss along the route and cannot be skipped: before reaching it you must defeat the wing's first boss, Chronikar.
- The dagger is a random drop from the boss's loot table alongside other items, with no guarantee of getting it in a single run.
- The same fight also drops a melee accessory — the
Accelerating Sandglass — so the run is useful for more than just the appearance.
The mega-dungeon has no separate weekly lockout, and on a max-level Midnight character the dungeon can be soloed by almost any class — the level-70 item stats have long been irrelevant, and all you need is the appearance itself. Once a week, completed keystones in Dawn of the Infinite grant an extra loot chance from the Great Vault chest, so it is worth clearing a seasonal key at least once a week.
Alternatives
The dagger has no known color recolors of this exact model, but the same mega-dungeon holds a dagger on the same model in a magic version — it suits specs that rely on intellect and slots neatly into an overall "time" set.

If you specifically want this look on an agility dagger, it has no other sources — the appearance is obtained only from the named boss. Similar dark-draconic blades in the same silhouette can be sought among the rewards of other bosses in the same mega-dungeon: these include the
Chronikar's Ceremonial Saber and the
Fallen Drake's Bonesplitter — weapons of a different type, but kept in the same artistic line.
Who It Suits Visually
- Suited to looks themed around time and the infinite dragon: the dark blade with its muted glow echoes the sand-swept, chronolithic aesthetic of the mega-dungeon.
- Pairs well with the Dragonflight rogue tier and sets of leather armor in a black-and-gold or green-and-bronze palette.
- Fitting for a pair of matching daggers in both hands on rogues — two Nick of Time blades build a cohesive, recognizable silhouette.
- Contrasts with bright priest or paladin armor — a debatable but striking option for a "slayer of saints" look.
- Looks great in demon hunter and cat-form druid sets, where restrained weapon finish without a bright glow is what counts.
Tips
At the dungeon entrance pick the Galakrond's Fall wing — that is where the boss you need is. The Murozond's Rise wing does not drop this loot.
At the max level of the Midnight expansion, 90, the heroic and mythic modes can be soloed on most classes with decent survivability.
Before the Manifested Timeways boss you only need to kill the wing's first boss, so a single appearance run takes a few minutes.
The drop is random — plan for several repeat runs; there is no guarantee in a single attempt.
Alongside the dagger, the fight can also drop the
Accelerating Sandglass accessory, so the farm doubles as gear progression.
The dagger cannot be bought or crafted — the only path to this appearance runs through the mega-dungeon.
The appearance unlocks in the transmogrification collection as soon as the item is obtained by any character on the account — farming on an alt works too.
Don't forget the weekly Great Vault chest: completed keystones in Dawn of the Infinite grant an extra loot chance from the wing's bosses, including the dagger.
