The dagger belongs to the "nightfall" line of gear from the Nightfall event: the set is named after the nightfall shadowalkers — Arathi who defected to the Night's Order. The purple hue sets this set apart from the paired "dawnlight" kit of the Radiance of Flame, which is done in white tones. The dagger's silhouette is austere and short, with no ornate spikes, so it fits easily into stealthy looks for assassins and hunters.

The main way to obtain it is to buy it from a vendor. The dagger is sold by Vesper Churnmoat at the Radiance of Flame camp by Morgaine's Tears, in the southwest of the Hallowfall zone. The currency is called Radiant Emblem of Service. You can obtain it like this:

The Nightfall event is a public scenario that launches every hour on the hour at Morgaine's Tears. The group fends off waves of surekian for about ten minutes or until the shared progress bar fills, after which Anub'ranax appears. The scenario has no lockout on repeating it — you can enter it as many times as you like.

The key limitation concerns the currency specifically: the radiant emblem of service is granted strictly once per week per character. So in a single week you can buy only one "nightfall" item on a single hero. If you need the dagger urgently, you can stockpile emblems across several characters — the quest is available to everyone.

There is also a second path, without the vendor. This dagger's appearance can be found in the Confiscated Cultist's Bag — it is given for the Radiance of Flame daily quests, and it also drops from the scenario's final boss. The drop from the bag is random, so buying from Vesper Churnmoat for a guaranteed emblem is more reliable.
