Get Reins of the Daystorm Windsteed mount

Reins of the Daystorm Windsteed is a flying mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 (May 7, 2024) as part of the limited-time WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event. It is a stately wind steed clad in gleaming red armor, sharing its model with three other windsteeds in the set. As the in-game text describes it: "It is said that when lightning strikes the sun, a gleaming beast in red armor appears in the skies."

The mount is sold for Bronze — the event's main currency — by Hemet Nesingwary XVII at the Infinite Bazaar. The price is 6,600 Bronze. Since the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event ended on August 20, 2024, the mount is temporarily unavailable and awaits the event's possible return.

The only way to acquire it is by purchasing it from the Infinite Bazaar vendor while the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event is active.

1. Wait for the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event to return. The first run took place from May 16 to August 20, 2024; a rerun has not been officially announced, but Blizzard has stated its intention to bring the format back.
2. Create a timerunner character in the event's special mode and complete the introductory tutorial in the Jade Forest.
3. Accumulate 6,600 Bronze by completing quests, killing monsters, opening chests, running daily dungeons, and disenchanting surplus gear through Threads of Eternity.
4. Find the nearest Infinite Bazaar in The Jade Forest, the Valley of the Four Winds, Kun-Lai Summit, the Townlong Steppes, the Dread Wastes, or the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
5. Talk to Hemet Nesingwary XVII and, in the mounts category, select the Reins of the Daystorm Windsteed.
6. Confirm the purchase. The mount is automatically added to the collection of every character on your account.

While the event was active, Hemet Nesingwary XVII appeared at several Bazaars across Pandaria. Any of them sold the same selection, so the one closest to your current location was the right choice.

The Daystorm Windsteed is one of three exclusive windsteed color schemes added in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Each color scheme was sold at the same price by the same vendor.

If you farmed Bronze during the event, it made sense to collect the whole set at once — the combined cost of the three mounts was 19,800 Bronze.

Over the event's three months, earning 6,600 Bronze was not difficult. At max timerunner level, it fit into a few hours of focused farming.

• Bronze orbs — collect them throughout Pandaria, especially in clusters of monsters
• Disenchanting gear — use Threads of Eternity to convert surplus timerunner gear into Bronze
• World bosses — each fight gave a large chunk of currency
• Monster grinding — large packs of enemies in Pandaria zones quickly yielded Bronze from drops

Farming Optimization

1. Level a timerunner character to max and finish the campaign to unlock the boost
2. Pick the dungeon or scenario with the fastest clear and run it on heroic to qualify for the daily rewards
3. Collect Bronze orbs along the way to the entry points at the same time
4. Disenchant all unneeded gear — it will not be useful after the event
5. Track the 200,000 Bronze currency cap and spend it before reaching the ceiling so you do not hit the cap
