Forest Windsteed is an epic-quality flying mount added to World of Warcraft with patch 10.2.7 (May 7, 2024). It is a rare variant of the Windsteed — the winged steed of Pandaria — whose coat is colored to match the forest and is often adorned with bits of bark and leaves.

The mount was sold exclusively during the limited-time WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event, which ran from May 16 to August 20, 2024. The vendor was Hemet Nesingwary XVII — a beast expert stationed at the Infinite Bazaars across Pandaria. The price was 6,600 Bronze, the event's in-game currency.

1. Create or obtain a character — a special timerunning hero available during the Remix season
2. Level up the character and farm Bronze — the event's main currency
3. Accumulate 6,600 Bronze
4. Head to the nearest Infinite Bazaar — one is located in every zone of Pandaria
5. Find Lokren — marked with a mount vendor icon
6. Buy the Reins of the Forest Windsteed for 6,600 Bronze
7. The mount unlocks in your collection and stays with you forever — even after the event ends

The Forest Windsteed is one of three exclusive variants of the model sold by Hemet Nesingwary XVII during Remix. All three mounts cost the same and are available only as part of the event.

To complete the full series you need to accumulate 19,800 Bronze and buy all three variants from the same vendor.

Bronze is the main currency of the Remix event and drops from nearly any activity. The accumulation cap is 200,000.

1. Killing mobs — each enemy gives a small amount of Bronze, while elite and rare monsters give noticeably more
2. Story and side quests — the main source of starting capital
3. Dungeons and scenarios — steady Bronze farming plus a chance at gear
4. Mists of Pandaria raids — Firelands, Terrace of Endless Spring, Heart of Fear, Throne of Thunder, and Siege of Orgrimmar give large sums for clearing them
5. World quests and events — daily rewards and periodic events
6. Infinite Treasure chests — granted for leveling and achievements
7. Disenchanting gear — unneeded equipment is turned into Bronze
8. Glowing Bronze orbs — collectible objects in the world
