Renaissance Sai — Transmog Set Guide

Renaissance Sai is an uncommon one-handed dagger that adds a separate transmog illusion to your account's collection. This is not a combat weapon with stats but a purely decorative appearance: once applied, the item unlocks the dagger's look for every character on the account.

The model recreates a sai — the traditional Japanese three-pronged weapon with a long central blade and two short side prongs that act as guards. The appearance is kept in cold gray-steel tones, with no glow or effects, a dark wrapped grip, and a slim pommel. The dagger belongs to a weapon set styled after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: it arrived at the Trading Post alongside a katana, nunchucks, and a large two-handed blade. The sai is Raphael's signature weapon, so the item is especially prized by players assembling themed looks from that universe.

The item was added to World of Warcraft with patch 11.1.5 of The War Within expansion. Its flavor text plays on a combative streak: "Take all that pent-up anger out on your foes."

The Renaissance Sai is a Trading Post reward, the monthly cosmetic-item system. It is not a boss drop or a quest reward: the item is simply purchased from a vendor with the in-game currency — Trader's Tender.

• In Stormwind the Trading Post is located in the Canals, and the stock is managed by Tawny Seabraid.
• In Orgrimmar the Trading Post stands in the Valley of Strength, and the stock is managed by Shiri.
• The appearance first appeared in the May 2025 rotation together with the rest of the "Renaissance" weapon set and the masks from the same themed wave.
• After purchase the item must be applied — the illusion then unlocks for the entire account and becomes available in the transmogrification collection.

Trader's Tender is earned by completing the Traveler's Log — a monthly list of tasks. A fully filled progress bar grants 500 Tender, and an additional portion of the currency comes from individual log entries. Accumulated Tender does not expire: the progress bar resets on the first of each month, but the currency itself stays in your account's balance.

If the dagger is not in the current Trading Post rotation, there is no reason to be upset. The stock refreshes every month, and items from past months periodically return to the general rotation — the exact date of the next appearance is not announced in advance.

The Renaissance Sai has no separate color recolors with different item IDs — this is the model's only coloration. If you are assembling a themed look, take a look at the rest of the items from the "Renaissance" weapon set from the same Trading Post.

To round out the themed look, the Heroic Half Shell helps — a cloak shaped like a turtle shell that was sold in the same Trading Post rotation for 225 Trader's Tender.
