Shadow Dusk Dreamsaber
Overview

Shadow Dusk Dreamsaber is a ground mount from the dreamsaber family of the Emerald Dream, added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream" of the Dragonflight expansion (November 7, 2023). It is a large feline predator with dark purple fur and glowing eyes, gliding silently out of the shadows of the Emerald Dream.
The mount is a reward for the meta-achievement Glory of the Dream Raider, which requires completing nine linked boss achievements in the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid on Normal difficulty or higher. This is the only way to obtain it and the only variation of the dreamsaber tied to raid content.
Why you want this mount
- Exclusive raid reward — the mount cannot be randomly looted or bought with currency. Only a player who has personally met every condition of the meta-achievement Glory of the Dream Raider can earn it
- Unique shadow coloring — this is the darkest and rarest variation in the dreamsaber family. The other three variations (winter, dusk, and dawn) are obtained in the open world
- Available account-wide — once earned, the mount unlocks for every character on your account regardless of faction and class
- Standard ground mount speed — +60% or +100% movement speed depending on your riding skill
- Minimal level requirement — level 10 and Apprentice Riding are enough to use it, but clearing the raid requires level 90
How to obtain
The only way is to complete the meta-achievement Glory of the Dream Raider. After you finish the last of the nine requirements, the mount is automatically sent to you by in-game mail.
- Reach level 90 and make sure you have access to the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid. At the current max level the raid clears without difficulty
- Form a group or join one through the group finder ("Premade Groups" section → "Raids" → "Dragonflight" → "Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope")
- Choose Normal difficulty or higher — achievements do not count on Raid Finder (LFR)
- Complete all nine achievements tied to the bosses. Each requires meeting a specific condition before or during the boss kill
- After completing the final achievement, open the achievements interface (the Y key) — the meta-achievement is credited automatically, and the mount arrives by mail within a few minutes
Meta-chain achievements
The meta-achievement Glory of the Dream Raider consists of nine sub-achievements — one for each raid boss. All conditions are completed on Normal difficulty or higher.

| Pip | Ducks In A Row | Defeat the Council after winning over Sergeant Squawkins |
| Larodar, Keeper of the Flame | Don't Let the Doe Hit You On The Way Out | Defeat Larodar with Ivy extinguished and alive |

Detailed achievement conditions
Meaner Pastures (Gnarlroot)
During the fight, harmless flowers are scattered across the arena. They can be ignited by luring burning demons onto them or by using the fire effects of Gnarlroot. Only a flower that has been ignited and burns all the way down counts. You need 8 flowers total in a single fight.
Cruelty Free (Igira the Cruel)
The battle zone contains cages with charred critters. Before defeating Igira, you must interact with every cage and free all the animals. Assign a dedicated player to this task — the cages are scattered around the perimeter.
Swog Champion (Volcoross)
During the fight, Volcoross devours fizzling swogs that appear as interactable objects. Throw the swogs under the boss's maw — you need to feed him 30 in total. The achievement can be spread across several pulls.
Ducks In A Row (Council of Dreams)
After the fight with Pip and the Council of Dreams begins, Sergeant Squawkins appears in the zone. Players must interact with him 12 times during the fight — each interaction adds a duckling to the sergeant's entourage. After the council is defeated, the sergeant joins the raid and hands over Sergeant Squawkins as a battle pet.
Don't Let the Doe Hit You On The Way Out (Larodar)
During the fight, Larodar uses a mechanic involving his companion Ivy. She must be extinguished with water cascades, not killed. Ivy has to stay alive until the end of the fight — meaning she cannot be hit by area damage.
A Dream Within a Dream (Nymue)
During the fight with Nymue, part of the raid enters a dream phase. The sleeping players must collect 5 Dream projections and defeat the Embodied Monarch inside the dream plane. Once awake, finish off the main boss.
Haven't We Done This Before? (Smolderon)
The arena of Smolderon holds 6 Firelord runes. Before defeating the boss, you must extinguish every rune — this is done by luring special water effects from mobs onto the rune or by using cooldowns.
Whelp, I'm Lost (Tindral Sageswift)
During the flight phase of the fight with Tindral, lost whelps appear on the platforms. Before the boss is killed, you need to pick up all 6 whelps by flying past them on your dragon.
Memories of Teldrassil (Fyrakk)
Throughout the fight with Fyrakk, 6 memories of Teldrassil appear. Players must interact with each memory and bring it to the Heart of Amirdrassil in the center of the arena. All 6 must be returned before the finishing phase.
Clear optimization
Raid meta-achievements have historically been optimally completed 1–2 weeks after the next season opens, when the content is scaled down to outdated and can be cleared solo.
Solo at max level
At level 90 in the Midnight expansion, the entire Amirdrassil raid on Normal can be cleared by a single player. This is the easiest and most reliable path:
- Launch the raid on Normal difficulty through the group finder interface (right-click your character portrait → "Raid Difficulty")
- Enter the instance on your own
- On each boss, complete the achievement condition, then kill the boss
- Most mechanics with flowers, cages, and swogs are easily done solo thanks to the huge damage gap
Group at level 70
If you clear the raid at the level current for patch 10.2 (70), the nine achievements will require a coordinated group of 10–20 people:
Tips
Clear the achievements in boss order — this makes it easier not to forget conditions and not to miss the moment a mechanic activates. Most achievements require actions before the kill, not after
Learn the conditions in advance — each achievement has a unique mechanic that you need to start working on from the first seconds of the fight. Read the list before going in
Keep your loot lock — after killing a boss during the week, you can re-enter the raid for achievement attempts without receiving loot again
Use Normal, not Raid Finder — sub-achievements do not count on LFR difficulty. This is the most common beginner mistake
The Sergeant Squawkins council pays off twice — besides contributing to Glory of the Dream Raider, you get the collectible pet Sergeant Squawkins
Don't forget the creature at Nymue — without defeating the Embodied Monarch in the dream the achievement won't count, even if the boss is killed. Assign a strong DPS group to the dream phase
The mount comes by mail — after completing the meta-achievement, check your mail in any major city. The package is kept for 30 days
