Snowfluff Dreamtalon
Overview

Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.2.0 "Guardians of the Dream", November 2023). It is a snow-white, cat-like dreamtalon with fluffy fur, soft paw pads and a calm gaze. According to legend, these creatures are as light and carefree as snow itself: they leap from one snowdrift to another, barely leaving a trace.
The mount is tied to the Dream Wardens faction and is actively farmed in the Emerald Dream zone. There are three ways to obtain it: buy it from a vendor for the
Seedbloom currency after reaching renown level 18, win it from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty by growing a Gigantic Dreamseed, or get it from the dreamseed caches that spawn in the zone.
Why you want this mount
- Unique dreamtalon model — the fourth creature in the Dreamtalon family, a snow-white variation with a fluffy fur texture that differs from the ochre, springtide and boreal versions.
- Guaranteed acquisition through a vendor — unlike raid drops, the mount can be bought for a fixed price, which makes collecting it predictable.
- Speed 10 out of 10 — the mount receives a +60% or +100% movement-speed bonus depending on your riding skill and is suitable for any non-flying zones.
- Account-wide — once obtained,
Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon are unlocked for every character on your account. - Comes as a set with other dreamtalons — while farming the Snowfluff Dreamtalon you simultaneously collect the
Reins of the Ochre Dreamtalon and the
Reins of the Springtide Dreamtalon.
How to obtain
The main and most reliable route is buying from the Dream Wardens vendors for
Seedbloom. The alternative route is farming by planting a Gigantic Dreamseed.
- Unlock the Emerald Dream by completing the introductory storyline of patch 10.2.0.
- Raise your Dream Wardens reputation to renown level 18 through the zone's daily and weekly quests, the The Superbloom event and story chapters.
- Earn
Seedbloom weekly by completing the Blooming Dreamseeds quest — planting any three dreamseeds in the zone. - Fly to the Central Encampment and buy the
Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon from Talisa Whisperbloom or from Sylvia Whisperbloom in the Wild Wood Garden for 1 Seedbloom. - Alternatively: plant a
Gigantic Dreamseed in prepared soil and complete the growth for a chance to get the mount from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty.
Mount vendors
The mount is sold by two NPCs from the Dream Wardens. Their stock is identical, so head to whichever one is closer.
| Vendor | Location | What they sell |
|---|---|---|
| Talisa Whisperbloom | Central Encampment, Emerald Dream (~50, 62) | Mounts, pets, transmog for Seedbloom |
| Sylvia Whisperbloom | Wild Wood Garden, north of the Eye of Ysera | Same stock, handy while farming seeds nearby |
The vendor Talisa also hands out the weekly Blooming Dreamseeds quest, which awards the very currency used to buy the mount.
How to farm Seedblooms
Seedbloom is the main currency used to buy the
Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon. Seedblooms are awarded strictly once per week per character.
- Pick up the weekly Blooming Dreamseeds quest from Talisa Whisperbloom at the Central Encampment
- Collect 3 dreamseeds of any kind — Small, Lush or Gigantic — from daily quests, events and kills of elite mobs in the Emerald Dream
- Find prepared soil on the zone map and plant the seeds. Each seed grows for about 3 minutes
- While a seed grows, fend off small pests and pull weeds — this grants extra Emerald Dewdrop and reputation
- After finishing the plantings, turn the quest in to Talisa and receive 1
Seedbloom
Active sources of Seedblooms
- The weekly Blooming Dreamseeds quest — a guaranteed source, 1 seed per week
- Extra seeds occasionally drop from large Emerald bounties and caches on a lucky roll
- Use alts: each character earns its own currency and closes its own weekly
Alternative route — Gigantic Dreamseed
If your reputation has not yet reached level 18, you can try to win the mount at random from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty. The chance is low, but it gives an extra roll on top of the vendor purchase.
- Obtain a
Gigantic Dreamseed — it drops from elite monsters, rated events and is sometimes awarded for long quest chains in the Emerald Dream. - Find prepared soil and plant the Gigantic Dreamseed — it grows for about 3 minutes.
- Protect the growing plant from pests: fend them off and pull weeds. The higher the quality of protection, the higher the chance of getting good rewards.
- Once the growth is complete, pick up the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty — there is a small chance for the mount inside. - Also check the dreamseed caches — they spawn after Emerald bounties and sometimes contain the reins.
Building Dream Wardens renown
Access to buying the mount requires renown level 18. Each rank requires 2,500 reputation points, with 20 ranks available in total.
| Activity | Reputation reward | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Patch 10.2 storyline | Large reputation chunks | Once |
| Local zone quests | 50 per quest | Daily |
| Weekly Wardens quests | 500 per quest | Weekly |
| The The Superbloom event | 1,000 for the first completion of the week | Weekly (with an hourly cooldown) |
| Rare elite enemies | Varying reputation | Weekly loot lock |
| Emerald bounties and caches | Small chunks | Constantly |
Preparing to farm
- Before farming, make sure you have completed the "Aiding the Emerald Dream" introductory chain, otherwise many quests will be unavailable
- Enable the quest-tracking feature so you do not miss local quests when they appear
- Collect Emerald Dewdrop — they are spent on improving the quality of the seeds you grow
- Do not miss the hourly The Superbloom window — it is the most efficient source of reputation in the zone
Farming optimization
Weekly cycle
A single character only receives 1
Seedbloom per week, so bring in additional characters.
- Level up your Dream Wardens reputation on your main — it applies account-wide
- Bring alts into the Emerald Dream — once renown 18 is reached on the main, the alts can buy the mount right away
- On each alt, complete the weekly Blooming Dreamseeds quest for an extra
Seedbloom - Make the rounds of the dreamseed caches and plant Gigantic Dreamseeds for a second roll on the mount
Related rewards
By running the cycle to obtain the Snowfluff Dreamtalon, you automatically collect the other dreamtalons from the same sources.
Reins of the Ochre Dreamtalon — also sold for 1
Seedbloom
Reins of the Springtide Dreamtalon — costs 1 Seedbloom from the same vendor
Mark of the Boreal Dreamtalon — the raid version, obtained separately
Tips
Buying from the vendor is more reliable than the drop — the chance to win the
Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty is very low. If you are already at renown level 18, just save up
Seedblooms and buy the mount directly.
Save seeds for the weekly quest — do not plant all your seeds at once. Keep a reserve of at least 5 plantings so you can quickly close out Blooming Dreamseeds after the weekly reset.
Plant Gigantic Dreamseeds in a group — other players will help protect the plant from pests, and the quality of the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty will improve. This is critical for the mount's drop chance.
Do not miss the Superbloom — this event provides the maximum flow of reputation and often drops a
Gigantic Dreamseed, which is worth its rarity.
Use alts from the very start — since renown is account-wide, new characters get access to the purchase immediately. This doubles or triples the pace of earning
Seedblooms.
The zone is still visited by players — the Emerald Dream has remained a relevant zone for collectors, so group events close out quickly. Join other players' Gigantic Dreamseeds for extra drops.
The mount is bound on pickup — you cannot sell the
Reins of the Snowfluff Dreamtalon on the auction house. Open the item right away to add the mount to your collection.
