Get Reins of the Suntouched Dreamstag mount
Overview

Reins of the Suntouched Dreamstag is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft with patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream." It is a golden, radiant stag that gained its appearance from the solar energy that accelerates the growth of young stags in the Emerald Dream. The mount belongs to the Dreamstag family and shares its model with the lunar, blossoming and rekindled variants, standing out with its golden coloring and set of antlers.
The mount is sold by Moon Priestess Lasara, the quartermaster of the Dream Wardens faction. To buy the reins, you will need 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies and Renown level 17 with the Dream Wardens. The mount binds on pickup and is available account-wide.
Why You Want This Mount
- A guaranteed, RNG-free route — unlike mounts from bags and rare bosses, the suntouched stag is purchased with currency. You only need to build up reputation and stockpile Dragon Isles Supplies
- Sunlight theme — the golden coloring and radiant antlers make the model unique among the other Dreamstags and fit characters with a "solar" aesthetic well: Holy priests, Balance druids, paladins
- Part of a four-stag collection — together with the
lunar,
blossoming and
rekindled stags, it forms the complete set. Completing the collection adds visual variety and the "It's Not Horse Power" achievement - A reward for overall zone progress — Renown with the Dream Wardens grows automatically as you complete key activities in the Emerald Dream, so the mount feels like a side reward for exploring the zone
- Available at all levels — to use it you only need level 10 and the
"Apprentice Riding" skill; the mount works on all continents as ground transport
How to Get It
- Travel to the Emerald Dream through a portal. The zone opens after a short introductory quest at max level
- Complete the introductory chapters of the Dream Wardens campaign and reach the Central Encampment beneath Amirdrassil (approximately 50, 62)
- Raise your Renown with the Dream Wardens to level 17. Use every reputation source: the weekly quest, Dreamsurge, Emerald Bounty, world quests, rare enemies and treasures
- At the same time, stockpile Dragon Isles Supplies — they drop from nearly every activity in the Emerald Dream and other Dragon Isles zones
- Find Moon Priestess Lasara in the northeastern part of the Central Encampment, near the Renown hall keeper and the stable master
- Buy the Reins of the Suntouched Dreamstag for 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies
The Dreamstag Family
Moon Priestess Lasara sells four variations of the Dreamstag. They all cost the same and require the same Renown rank, so players often buy their favorite first and complete the collection later.
Mount | Color / style | Price | Renown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reins of the Suntouched Dreamstag | Golden solar | 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies | 17 |
| Reins of the Lunar Dreamstag | Silvery blue | 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies | 17 |
| Reins of the Blossoming Dreamstag | Green floral | 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies | 17 |
| Reins of the Rekindled Dreamstag | Fiery red | 1,200 Dragon Isles Supplies | 17 |
How to Quickly Raise Renown with the Dream Wardens
Renown with the Dream Wardens grows from all Emerald Dream activities. Rank 17 requires about 21,000 points of total reputation, so without focusing on the weekly tasks, progress stretches out.
Weekly Quests
- A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens — the main weekly quest. It requires earning 1,500 reputation points over the week and grants another 500 points plus a reward bag with gear and Dragon Isles Supplies
- Blooming Dreamseeds — a weekly task from Tendril Whisperflower: grow three seeds of any size in pots across the zone
- Supply runs ("Big Crates!" and "Tasteful Containers") — weekly tasks that give up to 250 reputation points and 100 Dragon Isles Supplies each, plus a seed for further reputation
Regular Activities
- Dreamsurge — a mass event in the Emerald Garden, triggered once per hour. It gives about 250 reputation, Dragon Isles Supplies and a chance at Dream Wardens transmog
- Emerald Bounty — an event that appears when a Dreamseed is planted in soil. It draws in other players and rewards reputation, currency and rare pets
- World quests — unlocked after the first campaign chapter. Each quest gives from 75 to 150 reputation points and Dragon Isles Supplies
- Rare enemies — each rare mob in the zone gives 25 reputation points and a stack of Dragon Isles Supplies. Track them with TomTom or the in-game tracker
- Treasures — opened chests also reward reputation and a small amount of currency
Collecting Dragon Isles Supplies
Dragon Isles Supplies are the shared currency of the Dragonflight expansion, spent at the quartermasters of all Dragon Isles factions. You can accumulate the required 1,200 units in parallel with raising your Renown.
- World quests in all Dragon Isles zones give from 25 to 75 units per completion
- Dream treasure chests (Sprouting, Blooming and Flourishing) are guaranteed to contain Dragon Isles Supplies and Flightstones
- Rare enemies in the Emerald Dream give a stack of Dragon Isles Supplies and Dream shards each
- Supply runs reward 100 units for each weekly quest
- Dreamsurge participation rewards include a bag with Dragon Isles Supplies
Farming Optimization
Weekly Plan
- On the first day of the week, pick up A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens and both supply-run quests
- Complete all available Emerald Dream world quests — this gives about 1,000 reputation points right away
- Take part in one or two Dreamsurge cycles — this covers another 500–600 points
- Plant three Dreamseeds in soil and invite other players for an Emerald Bounty — this gives the points needed for the weekly "Blooming Dreamseeds"
- Between activities, hunt rares — each rare mob gives a small stack of reputation and currency
Speeding Up with Alts
The Renown system is account-bound, but Dragon Isles Supplies accumulate separately on each character. If you have several level-70 alts, your reputation progress is preserved, and you can collect currency on all characters at the same time.
- Bring alts to world quests and treasure chests
- Send account-bound items to your main character
- Use alts to take part in Dreamsurge — this speeds up the accumulation of Dragon Isles Supplies
Tips
Do the campaign first — without completing the first story chapters of the Dream Wardens, world quests do not unlock. Without them, reputation grows significantly more slowly
Don't skip Dreamsurge — the event gives the best reputation gain per hour and often becomes a social event on the server, which makes clearing bosses easier
Plant large seeds — Giant Dreamseeds give more reputation and a chance at extra rewards compared to regular ones
Watch the weekly reset — the main quest and supply-run quests reset once a week, so plan your sessions to avoid missing them
Complete all four Dreamstags — the total price of 4,800 Dragon Isles Supplies is collected over 4–6 weeks of active farming and completes most of the patch 10.2 mount collection
Use dragonriding to get around the Emerald Dream — while the Reins of the Suntouched Dreamstag itself will come in handy in dungeons, cities and old zones where normal flight is limited

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
