Get Swift Blue Raptor mount

Swift Blue Raptor is an epic ground mount of the Horde, one of the racial raptors of the Darkspear troll tribe. A massive raptor in a rich blue coloring with orange stripes — this is a sped-up version of ordinary riding raptors, granting full ground-mount speed. The mount was added to the game back in patch 1.4 and remains in the game to this day.

The mount is sold by Zjolnir, the raptor handler from Sen'jin Village in Durotar. For trolls the mount is available without any reputation restrictions, while all other Horde races can buy it only after reaching Exalted status with the Darkspear Trolls faction. The item's flavor text reads: "Longtime allies of the trolls, these predatory hunters form a special bond with their masters. They become mounts, protectors and friends."

• Full ground movement speed — the raptor grants +60% or +100% speed depending on riding skill. At the highest tier it is one of the fastest ground mounts in the game
• Unique blue-colored model — unlike ordinary riding raptors, the epic models are noticeably larger and have a more saturated coloring
• Part of the racial set — together with the Swift Olive Raptor and the Swift Orange Raptor it makes up the complete epic troll set. All three mounts are sold by the same vendor
• Account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks for all Horde characters on your account, regardless of race and class
• Classic racial mount — getting the raptors as a non-troll requires Exalted reputation, which turns the mount into a notable collector's achievement
• Counts toward achievements — every raptor you buy counts toward mount-count achievements and toward the Dastardly Duos meta-achievement

Important notes:

• Troll characters buy the mount immediately, without any reputation — it is a racial mount
• All other Horde races (orcs, tauren, Forsaken, goblins, blood elves, Horde pandaren, vulpera, Zandalari, Horde Kul Tirans, etc.) require Exalted with the Darkspear Tribe
• The mount is unavailable to the Alliance — it is a purely Horde racial mount
• The old level requirements (60, then 40) were removed long ago; the mount can now be bought from level 10

The vendor is located in Sen'jin Village — a small troll settlement on the southeastern coast of Durotar, south of Orgrimmar.

1. Head to Orgrimmar by any convenient means
2. Leave the city through the southern gates into Durotar
3. Move south along the main road along the coast
4. After roughly 1–2 minutes of mount flight you will arrive at Sen'jin Village
5. Zjolnir stands next to his raptors at the southern edge of the village

If your character has Durotar flight (automatically available at max level), you can simply open the map and use the flight master point in Sen'jin as the nearest teleport.

If you do not play a troll, you will need to grind reputation with the Darkspear Trolls faction. The fastest way in 2026 is the classic method via tabard and dungeon:

Step 1. Get the tabard

Head to Orgrimmar, find Champion Uru'zin by the flight master in the Valley of Spirits and take the Darkspear Tabard from him. Put it on — while the tabard is worn, all mobs you kill in dungeons grant reputation with the Darkspear Tribe instead of the standard faction.

Step 2. Run a suitable dungeon

The optimal choice is The Botanica in Netherstorm (Outland). The dungeon can be cleared in 5–10 minutes at max level, it has many mobs, and the final boss is located right next to the exit portal. This lets you instantly reset the instance and start it again.

Step 3. Watch the reset limit

The game allows you to reset instances no more than 10 times per hour. Once the limit is reached, switch to other activities or wait. Usually going from neutral reputation to Exalted takes 1.5–2 hours of pure farming time.

1. Pick any Horde character and level its riding skill at least to the "Apprentice Riding" tier (from level 10)
2. If the character is not a troll — head to Orgrimmar and take the Darkspear Tabard from Champion Uru'zin
3. Run a Botanica farm with the tabard worn until reaching Exalted with the Darkspear Trolls
4. Bring at least 10 gold with you (in practice, with the reputation discount the amount will be even smaller)
5. Fly out to Sen'jin in Durotar
6. Find Zjolnir at the coordinates /way Durotar 55.2 75.4
7. Open his trade window and buy the Swift Blue Raptor
8. Use the item to add the mount to your collection — it will become available on all Horde characters

• Buy all three epic raptors at once — the price difference between one and three mounts is insignificant (about 25–30 gold), and each of them counts toward mount-collection achievements
• Troll as a temporary character — if you don't have an old troll and don't want to farm reputation, you can create a new troll, level it to 10 and buy the raptor with no requirements. The mount will become available account-wide
• Combine the farm with other factions — while farming Darkspear via the tabard, you can in parallel equip tabards of other old factions only when switching between dungeons. If you have several reputations you need — plan your run in one go
• Check your inventory items after the purchase — the mount scroll needs to be used once, after which it lands in your mount collection. There is no need to buy it again
• The mount works in any location — it is an ordinary ground mount, with no zone restrictions. Its speed depends only on your character's riding level
