Get Swift Shorestrider mount

Swift Shorestrider is an epic ground mount from the tallstrider family. It is the first and only tallstrider mount available to players. The model is painted in turquoise-blue tones with a distinctive orange plumage on its belly. The mount was added in patch 4.3 and was originally available only through a loot card from the World of Warcraft TCG collectible card game.

• Unique model — Swift Shorestrider remains the only tallstrider mount in the game. No other mount uses this model
• Collector's value — the mount ranks among the rarest means of transport. By various estimates, fewer than 1% of active players own it
• Counts toward achievements — obtaining the mount counts toward the "Mountain o' Mounts" achievement series
• Account-wide — once activated, the mount appears in the collection on every character on the account
• Auto-scaling speed — the movement speed automatically matches your highest riding skill

Swift Shorestrider can be obtained in two ways: through a TCG loot card or through a promotion. Both methods require redeeming a promo code.

Method 1: TCG Loot Card

1. Acquire the Wasteland Tallstrider loot card from the Throne of the Tides set of the WoW TCG collectible card game. The card dropped at a rate of 1 in 264 boosters
2. Scratch off the protective layer on the card to reveal the 25-digit promo code
3. Go to the Blizzard promo code redemption page and enter the code. Choose the region and game realm on which you want to receive the item
4. After a successful activation, you will receive an in-game code
5. In game, find the NPC Landro Longshot in Booty Bay (Cape of Stranglethorn)
6. Talk to Landro, choose the "Throne of the Tides" set, then "Swift Shorestrider", and enter the code you received
7. The mount will be added to your collection

Method 2: Prime Gaming Promotion (ended)

In June–July 2023, Blizzard ran a promotion together with Prime Gaming. Amazon Prime subscribers could obtain this mount for free by linking their Twitch and Battle.net accounts. The promotion ran from June 29 to July 27, 2023. At this time, the promotion has ended and is unavailable.

Buying from Other Players

The Swift Shorestrider item can be sold and bought at the auction house until it is used (activated). If you find the mount at the auction house, simply purchase it and use it from your inventory.
