Overview

Traitor's Talon

Traitor's Talon is a two-handed polearm added to World of Warcraft with the Midnight expansion. The model is built around a predatory, "clawed" silhouette: the curved blade resembles a talon mounted on a long shaft.

The weapon suits classes that wield polearms and fits perfectly into wild, "beastly" looks. Thanks to its aggressive blade shape, it stands out in sets with natural and hunting motifs.

Source

  • The weapon drops from the boss Muro'jin — the first fight in one of the new Midnight dungeons.
  • The dungeon is part of the Mythic+ key pool for Midnight's first season, so you can farm the appearance right now.
  • Muro'jin fights alongside his eagle companion, and their health pools are separate: you need to bring their bars down evenly, otherwise the survivor gets a sharp power boost.
  • The best drop chance comes from Mythic difficulty and Mythic+ mode. There is no weekly lockout on this drop.
  • The weapon is bound on pickup, so you should farm it on the character who actually needs the appearance.

Alternatives / recolors

The Traitor's Talon has visually similar polearm models with a comparable predatory silhouette from dungeons in the same expansion. No confirmed recolors of this exact model with separate identifiers are locked in at the time of writing, so focus on the item itself. Look for similar shapes among the two-handed polearms from Midnight dungeons.

Who it suits visually

  • Pairs well with plate and leather sets in natural, earthy-green tones.
  • Harmonizes with "beastly" and hunting looks — bones, feathers, hides.
  • Creates contrast with clean, "noble" sets, adding a wild accent.
  • Fits a ranger or beast-tamer concept thanks to the clawed blade shape.

Tips

1

Farm the weapon on Mythic difficulty or via Mythic+ — the drop chance there is higher than on Heroic.

2

During the fight, keep the boss's and his eagle's health dropping evenly: killing one before the other makes the encounter much harder.

3

Keep interrupts ready: this fight is more demanding than many in the season.

4

If the weapon doesn't drop, repeat the run — there is no time limit on this drop.

5

Check out the dungeon's full loot list: you can grab several weapon appearances in a single run.
