Vivacious Chloroceros — How to Get the Mount from Treasures of Harandar
Vivacious Chloroceros

Vivacious Chloroceros is a ground mount obtained by completing the achievement Treasures of Harandar. To earn it, you need to find and collect all 9 treasures scattered across the Harandar zone — one of the key locations in the Midnight expansion.
Visually, the Chloroceros resembles a massive horned beast covered in vibrant vegetation. According to the in-game description: "Catching a leaf from a chloroceros's mane mid-air is considered a sign of good luck among the Haranir. The brighter the leaf, the greater the fortune."
The mount was added in patch 12.0.1 and appears in your collection automatically upon completing the achievement.
Why Collect the Treasures of Harandar
Besides the mount itself, treasure hunting will earn you:
- Reputation with the Hara'ti — each treasure grants 50 reputation points with this faction
- Two additional mounts —
Untainted Grove Crawler and
Ruddy Sporeglider drop from two separate treasures - Pets — the battle pet Percival and a Perturbed Sporebat
- Toys — "Shroom Jumper's Parachute" and "Gift of the Cycle"
- Transmog — cosmetic weapon "Sporelord's Authority" (polearm) and "Reliquary-Keeper's Lost Shortbow" (bow)
- Meta-achievement progress — the "Treasures of Harandar" achievement counts toward the zone's meta-achievement
How to Reach Harandar
Harandar is the third zone of the Midnight story campaign. To get there for the first time:
- Open the Scouting Map in Silvermoon City and accept the quest "Harandar"
- The quest will direct you to NPC Orweyna in Fairbreeze Village
- Complete the introductory quest "The Root Cause", which opens a portal to Harandar
To return to the zone later, use the portal in Fairbreeze Village — head up the hill at approximately 45, 47 and enter the portal.
Requirements:
- World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion
- Character level 83 or higher (Harandar campaign is designed for levels 83–88)
- Access unlocks as you progress through the Midnight story campaign
Treasures can be collected immediately after entering the zone — no additional quest chains are needed to unlock them.

Once you have enough, return to the cauldron and claim the reward.
Reward: mount Ruddy Sporeglider.
Tips for Efficient Collection
- Start with the easy treasures. The Shroom Jumper's Satchel, Burning Branch, Paint Supplies, and Kemet's Cauldron take seconds — just fly up and grab them
- Use a map for Gift of the Cycle. The three altars are on hills around The Den. Mark the waypoints with TomTom or a similar addon to avoid confusion
- Save the Peculiar Cauldron for last. Farming 150 fragments takes the most time. While flying between treasures, pick up sap along the river to save time
- The Fungal Mallet lasts 5 minutes. Before picking up the mallet in Fungara Village, make sure you know where the gong is — it's on the eastern side of the village
- Full collection takes 40–60 minutes. Without farming sap for the Peculiar Cauldron — about 20 minutes. The cauldron adds another 15–30 minutes depending on luck
- Mount not appearing bug. In the first days after Midnight's release, some players reported the mount not appearing in their collection after the achievement. This bug was fixed in the hotfix on March 1, 2026. If your mount is still missing — relog
