Void-Touched Sunfury Stave is a cosmetic two-handed staff added in the Midnight expansion with patch 12.0.5. It is a purely visual item: it carries no stats and exists only for the appearance it applies to a weapon through transmogrification.
The model is built on the recognizable silhouette of Sunfury blood elf weaponry, but reimagined in a Void aesthetic. The gilded shaft flows into a head wreathed in the purple-black energy of the Void, with veins of lilac glow running along the entire haft. The look reads well at a distance and suits anyone collecting the "corrupted" sets of the current expansion.

The staff does not drop directly from any boss. It is part of the 
Cache of Void-Touched Weapons — a container that grants a random cosmetic weapon appearance from the set that is missing from your collection.
The cache is sold by the merchant Triam Dawnsetter in the city of Silvermoon City, above the Bazaar. The price for a single cache:
- 150 units of the Voidlight Marl currency.
- 5 units of the Field Accolade currency.
Both currencies are earned from patch 12.0.5 activities — at the Ritual Grounds and in the Void Assaults around Silvermoon. Voidlight Marl piles up quickly from ordinary zone content, while Field Accolade comes from completing field tasks and clearing Void areas.
The key feature of the source is randomness. The cache grants one of seventeen weapon appearances from the set and skips those already collected. If almost everything in your collection is closed out, the chance of getting this exact staff is high; if you have unlocked little, it may take several purchases.
Who It Suits Visually
- It fits the "corrupted" armor sets from the Void content in Midnight — the purple-black palette matches directly.
- It harmonizes with the gilded armor of blood elves, since the shaft retains the golden frame of Sunfury.
- It contrasts strikingly in the light sets of priests and paladins — the Void against white makes a bright accent.
- It is fitting for warlock and shadow priest looks, where the Void theme is fully revealed.
Tips
Before buying, open the appearance collection window and check which items of the set are already collected — the cache skips them, raising the chance of the staff you need.
Stockpile Voidlight Marl in advance: it drops from almost all content in the Silvermoon zone, and by the time of purchase you usually have enough.
Field Accolade is scarcer than Marl, so plan which caches to spend it on first.
If the goal is to complete the entire weapon set, it is more efficient to buy caches back-to-back rather than selectively: duplicates do not drop.
The appearance is account-bound, so it is enough to obtain it on one character to use it on all.
Currency farming goes more briskly in a group at the Ritual Grounds and in the Void Assaults — both Marl and Field Accolade drop more densely there.
