Worgen

The Worgen are a cursed race consisting of the inhabitants of Gilneas, who were cursed by the ancient druid curse, which turned them into deadly half-wolves, half-humans. After many attempts to find a cure, the infected inhabitants of Gilneas managed to retain their minds and consciousness, and they vowed to join the Alliance to fight the Forsaken who ravaged their lands.

Worgens have sought refuge in the Howling Oak in Darnassus.

In the starting zone, players transform into a Worgen and later aid Graymane in protecting his kingdom from Sylvanas.

Other zones with a Worgen influence include Silverpine Forest, Duskwood, Felwood, and Shadowfang Keep.

Altered Form

Enables Worgens to switch between human and Worgan forms

Darkflight

Activates your true form, increasing current movement speed by an additional 40% for 10 sec.

Flayer

Increases your Skinning Skill by 5 and Deftness by 25%. Deftness allows you to skin more quickly.

Running Wild

Drop to all fours to run as fast as a wild animal.

Viciousness

Increases critical strike chance by 1%.

Mounts

Worgens can purchase the unarmored mounts Mountain Horse and Swift Mountain Horse.

Battle Pets

The Gilnean Raven is a Worgen-specific pet representing the elegant doom of the starting area. Grumpy is a faithful mastiff, the type of dog found in Gilnean homes.
