WoW: Forever Racial Ability Changes — Oct. 15, 2026
What Changed?
WoW: Forever has adjusted racial abilities: some weapon restrictions were removed, Gnome and Forsaken buffs were changed, Orc defenses were revised, and Tauren and Skyborne mobility was improved.
Human (Alliance)
Ruthlessness - The former Sword Specialization has been renamed. The 2% bonus to critical strike chance for attacks and spells now works with any weapon.
Dwarf (Alliance)
Earth's Wrath - Replaces Mace Specialization. It now grants a 2% bonus to critical damage and healing instead of 1% critical strike chance when using maces. The weapon requirement has been removed.
Night Elf (Alliance)
Quickness - The 2% movement speed bonus now stacks with other speed effects. The dodge bonus remains 1%.
Gnome (Alliance)
Eureka! - The limit of three uses has been removed, and the effect duration has been reduced from 15 to 8 sec. The buff now affects eligible abilities for its entire duration.
The effect variants depend on the resource used and the class:
Energy version - Abilities that deal non-periodic damage cost 10% less Energy and deal 10% more damage.
Rage version - The same damage bonus and a 10% reduction to Rage costs.
Version for damaging abilities that cost Mana - 10% additional damage and 10% lower Mana costs.
Version for non-periodic damage that costs Mana - The same numerical bonuses apply to the relevant abilities.
Damage and healing version - Eligible non-periodic abilities cost 10% less Mana and deal 10% more damage or restore 10% more health.
Orc (Horde)
Ferocity - Replaces Axe Specialization. The 1% chance for spells and abilities to critically strike no longer requires an axe.
Blood Fury - Cooldown increased from 2 to 3 min. The buff still grants 10% Attack Power and Spell Power for 15 sec.
Curse Breaking - Magic damage reduction decreased from 15% to 5%. The ability removes curses and Bane effects, but no longer grants immunity to their reapplication. The defensive effect lasts 8 sec.
Forsaken (Horde)
Touch of the Grave - For Warriors, Paladins, and Rogues, the chance to trigger increased from 5% to 20%.
Touch of the Grave - For Priests, Mages, and Warlocks, the chance increased from 10% to 30%.
The internal cooldown for both versions increased from 1 to 25 sec. A single trigger can drain health from the target up to 5% of the character's maximum health.
Tauren (Horde)
Endurance - The 1% hit chance bonus has been replaced with a 2% bonus to critical damage and healing. The additional 5% health remains.
Plainsrunning - Added 3% mounted movement speed. The movement speed buildup remains: 1% every 5 sec., up to 30%; stopping or taking damage weakens the effect.
War Stomp - Cooldown reduced from 2 to 1.5 min. The ability stuns up to 5 enemies within 8 yd for 2 sec.
Troll (Horde)
Regeneration - The health regeneration bonus increased from 10% to 20%. The portion of total regeneration that continues in combat also increased from 10% to 20%.
Skyborne (Alliance and Horde)
Levitation - Cooldown reduced from 2 to 1.5 min. Directional gliding lasts 10 sec.
Wind Blessed - The bonus to spellcasting, melee, and ranged attack speed increased from 1% to 3%.
These changes apply to both High Order Skyborne and Wind Shaper Skyborne.
High Order Skyborne (Alliance)
Health and Mana Regeneration Ability - When no ley line is nearby, the duration increased from 15 to 30 sec. If a ley line is found, the buff lasts 15 min. In either case, health and Mana regeneration increase by 100%.
