Amani Windcaller

Amani Windcaller is a flying eagle mount blessed by Akil’zon, the eagle loa of the Amani tribe. This majestic mount was introduced in the Midnight expansion (patch 12.0.1) and is purchased from the faction quartermaster of the Amani Tribe in Zul’Aman. To buy it you will need Renown level 19 with the Amani Tribe and 8,000 Voidlight Marl.

The Amani Windcaller is one of two mounts available from the Amani Tribe faction. It is a large eagle with deep crimson plumage, bearing the seal of the loa Akil’zon. The mount supports both ground and flight travel and is fully compatible with the Skyriding system.

Its in-game description reads: “Swift as the storm and sharp as lightning, these sacred eagles bear the seal of Akil’zon, carrying their riders on the winds of his blessing.”

The faction’s second mount is the Amani Blessed Bear, available at Renown level 17 for 6,000 Voidlight Marl.

The mount is sold by Magov’u, the Amani Tribe renown quartermaster. She is located in the village of Amani’zar, in the southeast of Zul’Aman.

Magov’u stands inside the village’s main building. Besides mounts, she also sells cosmetic items, toys, profession recipes, and housing decor — all for Voidlight Marl.

Zul’Aman is one of the four main zones of the Midnight expansion. You can reach it in two ways:

1. Through Eversong Woods. From Silvermoon City, fly east. Zul’Aman borders Eversong Woods, and crossing between the zones requires no loading screen.

2. Through the scouting map. After completing the Eversong Woods story campaign, you gain access to a scouting map in the Temple of Light, where Zul’Aman is one of the options to continue.

No additional quest chains are required to access the zone — you only need to reach the Midnight content.

Step 1. Start the Zul’Aman campaign

Complete the zone’s main story line and side quests. This grants your first Renown levels with the Amani Tribe and introduces you to the key NPCs and locations.

Step 2. Earn Renown

After finishing the story, the main source of Renown is weekly and daily activities. A detailed list of sources is provided in the section below.

Step 3. Stockpile Voidlight Marl

Alongside earning Renown, you will gain Voidlight Marl from the same activities. If you are short on currency, use the additional farming methods.

Step 4. Reach Renown level 19

Once your Renown reaches level 19, head to Magov’u in the village of Amani’zar and buy the Amani Windcaller for 8,000 Voidlight Marl.

The maximum Renown level is 20. To buy the mount you need level 19. Here are all the reputation sources:

One-Time Sources

• The main Zul’Aman campaign — a large one-time boost to Renown
• Side quests in the zone
• Treasures and lore objects — scattered throughout the zone
• Highest Peaks — an achievement for visiting the summits in Zul’Aman

Weekly Sources (priority)

Daily Sources

• Local tasks — refresh on Wednesdays and Saturdays
• Rare enemies — 15 in Zul’Aman, each granting 50 reputation on the first weekly kill

Renown Bonuses

• Darkmoon Faire — +10% to reputation gained
• Local task bonus event — +50% to reputation
• Winds of Mysterious Fortune — +50% to reputation
• Contracts — an extra 10–15 reputation per local task

Tip: try to stack several bonuses at once. A week with the local task bonus event + a contract + the Darkmoon Faire is the ideal time for active Renown farming.

Voidlight Marl is the shared currency of the Midnight expansion, used by the quartermasters of all four factions. The currency is account-bound and available to all your characters.

Main Sources of Marl

Spoils hunts are the most efficient method. The system unlocks after completing the introductory quest chain from Astalor Bloodsworn on Murder Row in Silvermoon City. At expedition rank 2 of the Hunter path you unlock random hunts, which provide the bulk of your income.

If you have War Mode enabled, you receive increased Marl from local tasks.

• Don’t rush to spend your Marl. Besides the 8,000 mount, Magov’u sells cosmetics, recipes, and decor. Set your priorities in advance.
• Use alts. Voidlight Marl is account-bound — farm it on any character and spend it on whichever one is convenient.
• Do the one-time activities first. The campaign, side quests, treasures, and lore objects will quickly raise your first Renown levels.
• Don’t skip the “Bounty” event. It is the single largest weekly source of Renown specifically with the Amani Tribe.
• Level the bear alongside the eagle. The Amani Blessed Bear unlocks at level 17 for 6,000 Marl — if you have the currency, you can grab both mounts.
• If you’re short on Marl, run spoils hunts. This is the fastest way to accumulate the needed amount, up to 2,000 per hour.
