Overview

Beledar's Spawn

Beledar's Spawn is a flying mount shaped like a shadow elemental suffused with the energy of the Void. The mount stands out with its deep purple glow, shadowy crystalline formations, and a pulsing dark aura. Visually it resembles a voidwalker, but far larger and more majestic.

The mount drops from the rare elite enemy of the same name, Beledar's Spawn, in the Hallowfall zone. It is one of the most sought-after mounts of The War Within, and obtaining it will require patience and preparation.

Why You Want This Mount

  • One of the most striking flying mounts of The War Within — a shadow elemental with unique animations
  • A rare drop that not every player can boast about
  • The mount is tied to the lore of the Beledar crystal — the central object of the Hallowfall zone
  • Fully compatible with Skyriding
  • Counts toward mount collection achievements

Requirements

  • A level 80 character
  • Access to the Hallowfall zone in Khaz Algar
  • Renown rank 23 with the Hallowfall Arathi is recommended — to purchase Beledar's Attunement, which reveals the rare enemy's location on the map
  • A group of several players for a quick kill (the boss has over 64 million health)

How the Beledar's Shadow Event Works

At the center of Hallowfall stands the giant Beledar crystal. Every 3 hours the crystal plunges into darkness — the Beledar's Shadow event begins. During this event:

  • The Beledar crystal changes color from light to dark purple
  • The event lasts 30 minutes, after which the crystal turns light again
  • The moment the event starts, the rare elite enemy Beledar's Spawn appears at one of 20 possible points in Hallowfall

The event timer is tied to server time and repeats strictly every 3 hours. The first cycle begins 1 hour after the daily reset.

How to Get the Mount — Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — Preparation

  1. Reach Renown rank 23 with the Hallowfall Arathi
  2. Buy Beledar's Attunement from the quartermaster Auralia Steelstrike in Mereldar for 1000 Resonance Crystals
  3. When activated, this item shows the exact location of Beledar's Spawn on the map once Beledar's Shadow begins

Step 2 — Waiting for the Event

  1. Track the Beledar's Shadow timer — the event occurs every 3 hours and lasts 30 minutes
  2. 7–10 minutes before the event begins, open the Group Finder and search for a group with the query "Beledar" or "Beledar's Spawn"
  3. If there are no groups — create your own. Ideally you want to gather 20 or more players to cover all the spawn points

Step 3 — Finding and Killing

  1. When Beledar's Shadow begins, use Beledar's Attunement — the rare enemy's spawn point will be marked on the map
  2. If you don't have this item, fly around the known spawn points or watch for messages in group chat
  3. Reach Beledar's Spawn and attack it — landing at least one hit is enough to be eligible for loot
  4. The boss has over 64 million HP, so a group greatly speeds up the kill
  5. After the victory, check your loot — the mount may be in your inventory

Step 4 — Repeat Attempts

You only have one attempt per day per character. Killing it again the same day will not grant an extra chance at the mount. However, you can use alternate characters for additional attempts — each character gets its own separate loot roll.

Drop Chance

According to community data, the mount's drop rate is approximately 5–6%. This means it takes about 15–20 attempts on average, though some players may need more or fewer attempts.

If the mount drops for several raid members, it can be traded to another participant within 4 hours of obtaining it, provided the recipient also took part in the fight.

Farming Tips

  • Use multiple characters. Each level 80 alt is an additional daily attempt. The more characters you have, the faster you will get the mount.
  • Join a group early. It's better to join a group 7–10 minutes before Beledar's Shadow starts than to look for one once the event is already underway.
  • Don't kill the boss too quickly. Give other players time to arrive and land at least one hit — a single tag is enough to be eligible for loot.
  • Install the TomTom addon. It lets you place waypoints across all 20 spawn points and quickly travel between them.
  • Watch the zone's general chat. Players often report Beledar's Spawn sightings along with coordinates.
  • Beledar's Attunement is a priority. If you haven't reached Renown rank 23 yet, focus on that first. The item makes the search much easier.
