Beryl Argussian Ruinstrider

Reins of the Beryl Argussian Ruinstrider is an epic ground talbuk mount added to World of Warcraft in the Legion expansion with patch 7.3.0 "Shadows of Argus." It is a massive talbuk with a greenish-blue turquoise coloration and chitinous growths over its armor — the talbuks of Argus, after decades of endless war against the demons, developed bony plates and a tough hide to survive among the ruins of the eredar homeworld.

The mount is sold by the vendor Toraan the Revered aboard the Vindicaar for 10,000 gold. The main requirement for the purchase is Exalted reputation with the Argussian Reach faction. The faction was added in patch 7.3 as one of the two Argus factions (the other being the Army of the Light), and it is the Argussian Reach that handles the entire ruinstrider line.

• Complete ruinstrider collection — the beryl variant is one of the six colors that can be bought from Toraan the Revered at Exalted.
• Unique talbuk model — unlike the ordinary Nagrand talbuks, the Argussian ruinstriders are larger, bulkier and protected by armor. The greenish-turquoise beryl shade is one of the most striking in the line.
• Account-wide — as soon as one of your characters obtains the mount, it becomes available to all characters on the account regardless of faction and class.
• Maximum ground movement speed — the mount gets the standard +60% or +100% bonus depending on your riding skill, meaning it travels at the speed of the best ground mounts.
• Access to other rewards at the same time — the reputation grind also unlocks the Tabard of the Argussian Reach, the battle pet Orphaned Marsuul, shoulder enchant upgrades and rank 3 alchemy recipes.

The path to the mount consists of two stages: unlock the Argus world quests in three zones and then farm reputation up to Exalted. At level 80 of the current The War Within expansion, the whole process is done solo without any trouble.

1. At max level, start the Argus intro chain on the Broken Shore and fly to the Vindicaar — the draenei flying ship that serves as the main Argus base.
2. Complete the intro story quests in Krokuun, finishing the chain Child of Light and Shadow. This unlocks the Krokuun world quests and grants reputation with both Argus factions.
3. Fly to Mac'Aree and complete the story up to the quest A Mark of the Awakened. This unlocks the world quests of the second zone.
4. Complete the story in Antoran Wastes up to the quest Burning Heart. This zone adds access to the invasion platforms.
5. Begin the daily grind of world quests, weekly quests and insignias up to Exalted with the Argussian Reach.
6. At Exalted, visit Toraan the Revered on the Vindicaar and buy the Reins of the Beryl Argussian Ruinstrider for 10,000 gold.

At Exalted, Toraan the Revered offers six color variations of the ruinstrider. They all cost 10,000 gold each, are bought separately and are tracked in the mount collection independently of one another. If you already reached Exalted for one color, the other five cost only gold.

Two more ruinstriders stand apart: the Reins of the Pale Argussian Ruinstrider is granted for the achievement ...And Chew Mana Buns, and the Maddened Chaosrunner is a paragon reward that drops from the cache of epochal influence after every 10,000 reputation beyond Exalted.

Before reputation starts dripping in from repeatable activities, you need to complete the main Argus story. The storyline is linear and at level 80 is finished in one or two evenings.

1. Fly to the Broken Shore (Suramar, Highmountain, Azsuna — your choice) and find the portal to the Vindicaar. It opens automatically after the patch 7.3 intro scene.
2. Complete the intro quest on the Vindicaar from High Exarch Turalyon — he will send you to Krokuun.
3. Complete the Krokuun story up to the quest Child of Light and Shadow — this grants the world quests of the first zone and unlocks access to Mac'Aree.
4. Continue in Mac'Aree — finish the story up to A Mark of the Awakened to receive the second batch of world quests.
5. Move on to the Antoran Wastes and complete the chain up to Burning Heart. From this point the invasions and both types of insignias open up for you.

Argussian Reach reputation comes from several parallel sources. The optimal loop is to close all daily and weekly tasks without skipping the emissary quests.

World quests

The main source is the world quests in Krokuun and Mac'Aree. Each Argussian Reach quest grants 75 reputation. Emissary quests (four quests per cycle) reward an additional 1,500 reputation on completion.

• Pick up the WHEE! buff from the Darkmoon Faire carousel — a +10% reputation bonus for world quests. The effect lasts an hour, so apply it right before turning in an emissary quest.
• Use the Argussian Reach Insignia — if it dropped during your run, apply it before turning in any world quest for extra reputation.
• Form a group through Group Finder (the "World Quests" option) — on Argus most quests are built for teamwork, and in a group they are cleared three times faster.

Weekly quests and dungeon

• Wellspring of Power of the Doomed World — a weekly quest from Illidan Stormrage on the Vindicaar. Reward: 1,000 reputation with both Argus factions
• Stronghold of Aggression — a weekly invasion task that grants 1,000 reputation
• Seat of the Triumvirate — the last Legion dungeon. The first run of the week grants 250 reputation. The dungeon is cleared solo without problems.

Insignias and tomes

Various Argussian Reach insignias drop from invasion caches, mission boxes and rare enemies. Save them for the final push:

• Argussian Reach Insignia — 250 reputation
• Greater Argussian Reach Insignia — 750 reputation
• Demon Soul Stone — a rare consumable that grants a one-time reputation boost

Invasion platforms and rares

After unlocking the Antoran Wastes and obtaining the signal beacon, you can start invasions on the black Legion ships. Each invasion hands out bags with chests, gear and a chance at insignias. Argus is also home to rare enemies on a 3-hour timer — when the list rotates, pick up the quests for them and turn them in alongside the world quests

The average time to Exalted with the Argussian Reach at level 80 is 10-14 days at an hour to an hour and a half daily. With a full rotation of world and weekly quests one day brings about 3,000-4,500 reputation, and from Honored to Exalted you need to gather 21,000 points.
