Get Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard mount

Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard is an epic mount added in patch 10.2.6 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a black battle ottuk, gifted by Brena of the Iskaara tribe as a token of friendship and care for Kalecgos and his reunited family in Valdrakken. The mount is a reward for completing the Flight Club meta-achievement, tied to the activities of the Valdrakken Accord.

Ottuks are unique creatures of the Dragon Isles that resemble large otters. They are superb swimmers and move well on land. The Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard stands out among other ottuks with its coal-black coloration and the massive build of a battle beast.

• Guaranteed reward — the mount is granted automatically once you complete the Flight Club meta-achievement. There is no reliance on a random drop: finish the achievements and claim your prize
• Unique model — a black battle ottuk with a distinctive coloration that sets it apart from all other rideable ottuks. Rarely seen among other players
• Universal movement — the mount supports ground, air and water travel. In water its swim speed is comparable to aquatic mounts
• Available to all characters — once obtained, the mount unlocks for every character on the account
• Part of a global meta-achievement — Flight Club is one of the components of A World Awoken, which rewards the Taivan mount. While working toward the ottuk, you also progress toward another reward

To earn the mount you must complete the Flight Club meta-achievement, which bundles 11 sub-achievements tied to the activities of the Valdrakken Accord on the Dragon Isles (the Waking Shores and Thaldraszus zones).

1. Make sure your character has access to the Dragon Isles (level 60+, the introductory Dragonflight quest chain completed)
2. Reach Renown level 5 with the Valdrakken Accord — this unlocks the Siege on Dragonbane Keep event
3. Complete all 11 achievements from the list below in turn
4. After completing the final achievement, the Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard mount will be added to your collection automatically

Thaldraszus is one of the four zones of the Dragon Isles and home to the capital city of Valdrakken. The main activities for the Flight Club meta-achievement are concentrated here.

From a Faction Capital

1. Head to Stormwind (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde)
2. Find the portal to Valdrakken in the portal room
3. From Valdrakken you can reach any point in Thaldraszus

Via Dornogal (The War Within)

1. From Dornogal, find the portal room
2. Use the portal to Valdrakken or to Stormwind/Orgrimmar
3. From Valdrakken, travel to the location you need

Siege on Dragonbane Keep (3 achievements)

The siege event happens every 2 hours at Dragonbane Keep in the Waking Shores. To take part you need Renown level 5 with the Valdrakken Accord.

• Home Sweet Home — simply complete the siege scenario once. At level 80 the event is over in a few minutes
• Chiseled Record — during the siege, look for three Djaradin tablets scattered around the keep. Their locations are fixed, so memorize the coordinates after your first find
• Snack Attack — during the first phase of the siege, pick up magma slugs and throw them to the creature at the entrance. The achievement requires 20 slugs, which may take several attempts

Obsidian Citadel (3 achievements)

Obsidian keys are obtained from obsidian chests, rare enemies and world quests in the Waking Shores. The four key recipients are:

• Wrathion — accepts up to 20 keys
• Sabellian — accepts up to 20 keys
• Forgemaster Bazentus — accepts up to 10 keys
• Igys the Believer — accepts up to 10 keys

For the "I'm Playing All Sides" achievement, turn in keys to each of the four characters: 20 keys each to Wrathion and Sabellian, and 10 each to Forgemaster Bazentus and Igys the Believer. For "Obsidian Keymaster", turn in 30 keys in total.

Little Scales Daycare (3 achievements)

The Little Scales Daycare is located on a floating island to the west of Valdrakken. Here you help raise whelplings of the various flights. Quests appear daily, but only a few are available each day.

• Progress is spread out over time: raising five whelplings will take several weeks
• Visit the daycare every day so you do not miss the available quests
• The racing quests for "Daycare Derby" appear as the whelplings grow up

Thaldraszus (2 achievements)

• Adventurer of Thaldraszus — find and defeat 10 of the 22 possible rare creatures. At level 80 every rare mob dies in seconds. Use the RareScanner or TomTom addon to track their locations
• Treasures of Thaldraszus — find 6 treasures. Treasure coordinates are available on Wowhead in the comments on the achievement. The HandyNotes: Dragonflight Treasures addon will show them on the map

Optimal Order of Operations

1. Start with the Little Scales Daycare — it is the longest part because of the daily limits
2. In parallel, gather obsidian keys and turn them in to the four characters
3. Take part in the Siege on Dragonbane Keep every 2 hours while you play
4. The treasures and rare mobs of Thaldraszus can be collected in a single run

How Long It Will Take

The main bottleneck is the Little Scales Daycare, where quests appear daily and progress is stretched over 2–3 weeks. The remaining achievements can be done in 1–2 play sessions.
