Get Bestowed Trawling Mammoth mount
Overview

The
Bestowed Trawling Mammoth is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.6 of the Dragonflight expansion (March 19, 2024). It is a massive gray mammoth in the harness of the Iskaara Tuskarr, a gift from the scout Tomul "so that the feasts of Iskaara always have enough fish and every one in need is fed."
The mount is awarded for completing the meta-achievement Army of the Fed — a reward for helping the Iskaara Tuskarr in The Azure Span. To complete the meta you will need to finish eight subordinate achievements: fishing, the Community Feast events, hunting rare enemies and finding the zone's treasures.
Why You Want This Mount
- A unique Tuskarr mammoth model — a gray beast with the harness, nets and packs of the Iskaara Tuskarr, distinct from the classic
Traveler's Tundra Mammoth - An unofficial Dragonflight relic reward — the mount is granted for a meta-achievement that covers almost all of Iskaara's content: fishing, story, rare enemies and treasures
- A keepsake tied to the Dragon Isles — it is one of the "farewell" mounts of the Dragonflight era, added in the final inter-season patch 10.2.6 before The War Within
- Available account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks for all characters of both factions
- No raid or lottery luck required — unlike the
Mossy Mammoth, which drops by chance from the Zskera vault chests, the trawling one is guaranteed by completing the achievement
How to Obtain
The only source of the mount is the meta-achievement Army of the Fed. After completing it, the
Bestowed Trawling Mammoth arrives by mail from Scout Tomul.
- Complete the Dragonflight story campaign and unlock The Azure Span — without finishing the Iskaara introductory quests the events are unavailable
- Reach Renown level 3 with the Iskaara Tuskarr — this unlocks the Community Feast
- Unlock Renown level 4 for access to the fishing nets and the five Dragon Isles fishing spots
- Complete the meta's eight subordinate achievements (list below)
- Earn the meta-achievement Army of the Fed — the mount will automatically appear in your collection
The Eight Subordinate Achievements of Army of the Fed
The meta consists of eight achievements tied to Iskaara and The Azure Span. They can be completed in parallel, but some of the fishing achievements take several weeks due to reputation resets and daily quests.
Achievement | What to do |
|---|---|
| Soup's On | Complete 100 tasks for Big Kinook at the Community Feast |
| Should've Stopped to Eat | Raise the soup quality to legendary and kill the rare Stewart |
| Secret Fishing Spots | Unlock access to three types of secret fishing spots: mountain, lava and ice |
| Taking From Nature | Unlock five Iskaara fishing nets in different zones of the Dragon Isles |
| We're Going to Need a Bigger Harpoon | Catch 25 Giant Lunkers from Tavio at the Big Catch events |
| Helper of the Span | Complete the side quest chains at Camp Antonidas, Iskaara and Three Falls Lookout |
| Adventurer of The Azure Span | Defeat 10 of 35 special enemies and events of the zone |
| Treasures of The Azure Span | Find six treasures: Forgotten Box, Gnoll's Flail, Lost Compass and others |
The Community Feast — The Key Stage
Two of the eight achievements (Soup's On and Should've Stopped to Eat) are tied to the Community Feast event. This is a world event at Iskaara's huge cauldron: every 3.5 hours Big Kinook calls players to cook soup.
- Unlock the event at Renown level 3 with the Iskaara Tuskarr through the quest Community Feasts
- Come to the Communal Cauldron in the center of Iskaara (coordinates 13, 48)
- For 15 minutes carry out Kinook's tasks: fish for grunkles and mana sponges, stun springy fish heads, buy spices from the local vendors, jump into the cauldron and stir the soup
- The soup quality rises along a scale: poor → common → good → excellent → legendary. At each step an intermediate boss attacks the cauldron
- At legendary quality the Stewart — a "soup golem" — spawns. Kill it for the achievement Should've Stopped to Eat
Feast Tips
- The rare has a daily loot-lock, so the kill achievement on Stewart can be completed in just one successful feast
- For Kinook's 100 tasks you will need around 15–20 full events. Each participation grants 5–10 completed tasks with active play
- Arrive 10 minutes before the event — an icon with a timer appears on the map, and a group of players gathers at the cauldron, which guarantees legendary soup quality
Fishing Achievements
Three of the meta's eight achievements are tied to fishing and take the most real time.
Taking From Nature
For Taking From Nature, unlock five fishing nets from Tavio in Iskaara. Each net must be activated with a quest in the corresponding zone:
- River Mouth at the Waking Shores (64, 75) — the quest about the otter ravagers
- Roaring Dragon Spring on the Ohn'ahran Plains (80, 77) — predator control
- Burning Ascent at the Waking Shores (34, 64) — fire frogs
- Stormfang Outlet in The Azure Span (58, 34) — clean water
- Tyrhold in Thaldraszus (57, 65) — underwater threat
You can only turn in one net quest per day, so the achievement takes a minimum of four to five days.
We're Going to Need a Bigger Harpoon
Kill 25 Giant Lunkers — sharks that appear in the Big Catch events or are summoned via the Sinister Shell. This is the final tier of a three-stage series of Giant Lunker achievements.
Secret Fishing Spots
For Secret Fishing Spots, get the tools from Tavio that open three types of secret holes: mountain, lava and ice. Each tool is crafted from materials that drop from the ordinary fishing spots of the Dragon Isles.
Optimizing Your Progress
Order of Actions on a New Character
- Complete the Dragonflight story campaign and reach max level
- Raise Renown with the Iskaara Tuskarr to level 4 — this simultaneously unlocks the Community Feast and access to the nets.
- Start farming three branches in parallel: attend every available feast, open a fishing net once per day, and between feast timers do side quests and search for treasures.
- By the time you finish the fishing nets you will already have accumulated most of Kinook's completed tasks.
- Finish Adventurer and Treasures of The Azure Span by any route — the zone's rare enemies have no cooldowns between kills.
Precise Feast Timing
Feasts appear every 3.5 hours. There are 6–7 events per day, but some of them fall during the night. With a regular login 2–3 times a day, the full Soup's On achievement is completed in 7–10 days.
Combined Routes
- During the treasure run, level up Adventurer — most rares stand next to chests
- The side quests for Helper of the Span cross the zone map, opening flight points along the way
- Crafting Iskaara nets and baits speeds up all the daily fishing quests
Tips
Don't put off the fishing achievements — Secret Fishing Spots and Taking From Nature require daily work, so start them on the very first day after raising reputation.
Attend feasts with a group — legendary soup quality cannot be achieved solo, and without it the Stewart does not spawn. Use group finder with the keywords "Community Feast."
Jump into the cauldron — stirring the soup by hand gives you more contribution points than fishing around Iskaara.
Collect the mount before The War Within — the event remains fully available at level 80, but the meta's rewards are tied to the spirit of Dragonflight, and it is better to finish it while the atmosphere of the Dragon Isles is alive.
Don't forget Iskaara's additional rewards — alongside the mount you can obtain the Ottuk Scout, cosmetics from the faction vendors and the title Soupmaster
Check the calendar — sometimes boosted reputation events run on weekends, and leveling to Renown 4 takes one or two days.
The mount is account-wide after obtaining it — as soon as one character completes Army of the Fed, the
Bestowed Trawling Mammoth appears in all of the account's collections.
