Overview

Big Slick in the City

Big Slick in the City is an unusual ground snail mount with a pink crystalline shell, added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.1 "Embers of Neltharion" of the Dragonflight expansion. The mount is tied to the underground snail-racing ring in Zaralek Cavern, a new zone on the Dragon Isles. There is only one way to obtain it — by earning the maximum reputation rank with the small Glimmerogg Racers faction.

The mount's original name, Big Slick in the City, is a nod to the poker hand and to the image of a "big shot in the big city". Despite its size, the mount is still a genuine racing snail and uses the same model as the Emerald Snail, but in a unique pink coloring.

Why you want this mount

  • Unique snail model — the only pink crystalline variant in the collection, obtainable in no other way than through Glimmerogg Racers reputation.
  • Standard speed — the mount grants +60% or +100% movement speed depending on your riding skill, meaning it travels at the maximum speed of ground transport.
  • Guaranteed reward — this is not a chance drop, but a guaranteed prize for completing a quest chain. If you put in the time, the mount will definitely end up in your collection.
  • Account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks for all characters on your account, regardless of faction and class.
  • Bonus pet collection — while you farm reputation, along the way you'll gather up to 15 unique snail pets from all corners of Azeroth.
  • Accessible content — Zaralek Cavern remains open at max level in The War Within, and solo reputation farming requires no group or raid preparation.

How to get it

The only path to the mount is reaching rank 5 "Renowned" with the Glimmerogg Racers faction and completing the final quest Snailed It from Briggul.

  1. Reach renown level 7 with the Loamm Niffen faction. To do this, complete chapter 1 of the "Embers of Neltharion" story campaign and keep doing local quests, events and story chapters in Zaralek Cavern
  2. Head to the southern part of Zaralek Cavern, to the Glimmerogg subzone, at coordinates around 44, 80. Find the NPC Brogg the Beast and pick up the introductory quests "Pay to Play" and "An Additional Favor".
  3. After completing them, talk to Briggul and accept his quest.
  4. Complete Briggul's daily quest for training the snail Slick every day — each one gives 100 reputation.
  5. At the same time, show Briggul your level 25 snail pets — each unique snail brings an additional 100 reputation (up to 15 one-time quests total).
  6. Accumulate 2,800 reputation and reach the "Renowned" rank (5 of 5).
  7. Take the Snailed It quest from Briggul and receive Big Slick in the City.

Unlock chain

Access to the Glimmerogg Racers does not open immediately — first you need to clear a series of prerequisites and introductory quests.

Glimmerogg Racers faction ranks

The faction has only 5 ranks, each requiring 700 reputation. In total, you need 2,800 reputation to reach the final rank.

Rank Reputation accumulated What unlocks
1. Novice 0 Starter quests and interaction with the races
2. Amateur 700 Chain progress and cosmetics
3. Experienced 1,400 Additional rewards
4. Expert 2,100 Intermediate items and toys
5. Renowned 2,800 Access to Snailed It and Big Slick in the City

Speeding up via snail pets

The main way to cut the farm down from 28 days to roughly 2 weeks is to collect as many level 25 snail pets as possible and show them to Briggul. In total the faction recognizes 15 unique snail models, each granting 100 reputation (the equivalent of a whole daily).

Pets are obtained in various ways: pet battles in the open world, achievements, seasonal events and reputations with other factions. Each pet must first be leveled to 25 — otherwise Briggul won't credit the quest.

How to turn in pets

  1. Level a snail to 25 in pet battles or with the help of experience stones.
  2. Approach Briggul in Glimmerogg.
  3. Select the dialogue option "Show Briggul your level 25 pet Snail".
  4. Choose the specific snail from your collection.
  5. Receive 100 reputation and automatically close the one-time quest.
  6. Repeat for all 15 unique snails that you have.

Where to look for snail pets

  • Battles with wild snails in many zones — the easiest source of basic models.
  • Treasure chests and rare monsters of previous expansions.
  • Rewards for pet-collecting achievements.
  • Rewards for third-party faction reputation in Nazjatar.
  • Seasonal events (Darnassus, the Drowned City, auction houses).

Optimal farming strategy

Day 1 — opening up

  • Complete chapter 1 of the "Embers of Neltharion" story line to open Zaralek Cavern and start gaining renown with the Loamm Niffen
  • Get to renown level 7 through story quests, local dailies and events
  • Clear the introductory chain Brogg the Beast → Briggul and unlock the Glimmerogg Racers

Stage 2 — mass pet turn-in

  • Before starting the daily cycle, collect all available snail models at max level. This is a one-time but powerful boost of up to +1,500 reputation in a single sitting
  • Use pet battle modes and experience stones to quickly get snails to level 25
  • Turn in all snails in one visit to Briggul — it saves travel time

Stage 3 — daily cycle

  • Complete Briggul's quest every day — a steady 100 reputation
  • Along the way, catch rare snails and buy missing pets at the auction house
  • Use reputation bonuses (for example, Darkmoon Faire buffs) — they also apply to the Glimmerogg Racers faction

Tips

1

Open Zaralek Cavern in advance — the main bottleneck is not the Glimmerogg Racers reputation itself, but renown level 7 with the Loamm Niffen. If you're only just starting the "Embers of Neltharion" chain, plan the first few days for grinding renown.

2

Don't forget the Darkmoon Faire — reputation buffs from the Faire or guild perks speed up point gains and can shave a couple of days off the cycle.

3

Level your snails in advance — the most common mistake: players forget that Briggul only accepts level 25 pets. Low-level snails won't close the quest.

4

Catch snails in old zones — snails of levels 1–25 can be caught in zones from various expansions: Nazjatar, Zuldazar, Kul Tiras, the Silken Fields. Open the pet battle system and check the list of available species in each zone.

5

Combine pet turn-ins with the daily — having gathered even 5–10 unique snails, you can visit Briggul once and get both 100 reputation for the daily and up to 1,000 for the one-time quests.

6

The mount is account-wide after you get it — as soon as one character completes Snailed It, inv_snailrockmount_pinkBig Slick in the City will appear in the mount collection of all your characters, regardless of faction and class.

7

Don't skip days — on average, at a base pace, the mount takes 28 days. Every skipped day adds to the overall farm length.
