Overview

Пламенное неистовство

Game iconBlazefury is an epic one-handed sword with a burning blade wreathed in tongues of flame. It is a classic example of a "blazing" weapon from the The Burning Crusade era: a broad blade, a red-hot edge and a warm fiery glow that makes the sword stand out even against bright armor. Despite its considerable age, the model is still in demand for fire and elemental looks.

The sword was added in the The Burning Crusade expansion and is crafted with blacksmithing. Only its model matters for transmogrification, so the item's outdated stats are irrelevant.

Source

Blazefury cannot be bought or looted from a boss — it is the crowning achievement of the weapon upgrade chain in the swordsmith blacksmithing specialization.

The crafting chain looks like this:

  • First the blacksmith crafts Game iconFireguard, the starting sword of this line.
  • It is then upgraded into Game iconBlazeguard.
  • At the final step Blazeguard is transformed into Blazefury.

Key requirements:

  • You need a character with blacksmithing and the swordsmith specialization.
  • The final step requires the reagent Game iconNether Vortex, an epic material from the The Burning Crusade era.
  • The finished sword is bound to its owner, so only the blacksmith who completed the entire chain can add the appearance to their collection.
  • Starting with the Cataclysm expansion the recipe can no longer be learned from trainers, but players who learned it earlier can still craft the sword.

Because of these restrictions the appearance is considered hard to obtain: you can no longer acquire it "from scratch" on a new character through standard means, which adds collector's value to the sword.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Perfect for fire looks — especially for warriors and paladins in a red-and-gold palette.
  • Harmonizes with armor that has its own flame or molten metal effects.
  • Looks great in paired setups with identical blades for dual-wield combat.
  • Contrasts with dark or cold armor, serving as a bright fiery accent of the look.

Tips

1

If you have an old swordsmith blacksmith, check whether the entire chain is learned on them: the new recipe can no longer be learned.

2

The easiest way to gather Nether Vortex for the final step is in the old The Burning Crusade raid locations, which can now be soloed.

3

The intermediate swords of the chain are also added to your appearance collection, so craft them one by one without skipping steps.

4

The finished weapon is bound to its owner, so you cannot transfer the assembled sword to another character — plan to gather the appearance on the right hero in advance.

5

If you do not have blacksmithing with the swordsmith specialization, it is easier to look for visually similar fire swords among modern available appearances.

6

At the Midnight max level all materials of the chain are gathered with ease, so the only barrier remains the learned recipe itself.
