Get Bleached Bone Cutlass
Overview

Bleached Bone Cutlass is an uncommon one-handed sword added to World of Warcraft with the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Its appearance is rendered in a "bony" Zandalari style: a curved blade the color of bleached bone with a rough wrapping on the hilt, as if carved from the remains of an ancient creature.
The sword looks great on pirate, troll and necromancer-themed outfits and suits classes that use one-handed swords. It is a bind-on-equip item, so you can freely trade and sell it before use. Today the cutlass is valued primarily as a transmog: its stats have long been irrelevant, but its clean "bony" model remains a handy detail for themed looks.
Source
The sword drops from blood trolls in Nazmir — a rotting swamp in the northeast of Zandalar from the Battle for Azeroth expansion.
- It is a common drop from enemies: the cutlass falls from the blood trolls inhabiting the marshes and ruins of Nazmir.
- The item binds only on equip, so extra copies can be sold at the auction house or passed to another character.
- There is no guaranteed source — the appearance is obtained through farming, so it may take several runs.
- Blood trolls are especially densely concentrated in the eastern part of Nazmir, in the blood cultists' settlement.
Visual Appeal
- Perfect for pirate and boarding-party looks in the spirit of Kul Tiras and the Zandalari fleet.
- Pairs well with "bony" and necromantic armor in a light white-and-gray palette.
- Looks great alongside a second identical blade for a dual-wielding fighter's look.
- Contrasts with dark plate — a debatable but expressive combination where the light blade becomes the accent.
Tips
Farm blood trolls in the eastern part of Nazmir — there are the most of them there, and therefore the best chances of a drop.
The cutlass does not drop reliably, so keep your bag free and clear out enemies in whole groups.
Since the item binds only on equip, you can look for a ready-made copy at the auction house if you do not want to farm it yourself.
The appearance counts toward your collection as soon as you receive the item — you do not have to wear it to unlock it.
Do not discard extra copies: they can be listed at the auction house for other transmog collectors.
Classes with area damage are handy for fast clearing — that way the troll farm goes noticeably quicker.
