In addition to world quests, special assignments, and delves, the open world features special bosses that allow players to obtain certain gear and rare loot for defeating them.
Currently, there are 6 world bosses available in the game, each located in one of the expansion's zones. Each boss is always found in the same spot within their zone, making them easy to locate.
Bosses rotate weekly, and only one can be active at a time. You cannot defeat a boss solo, so it is recommended to join a group — for example, through the Dungeon Finder.
Let's go over each of them in detail.
Orta
Orta is located in Azj-Kahet, in the City of Threads.
Boss Abilities:
Tectonic Roar: Orta lets out a mighty roar, dealing 30 Sonic damage to players and knocking them back. The roar additionally deals 5 Sonic damage every 2 sec for 12 sec.
Mighty Slam: Orta slams the ground, dealing 30 Nature damage to players in a cone in front of her and launching them high into the air.
Rupturing Runes: Orta summons a rune of destruction every 1 sec for 5 sec. When triggered, the runes stun the affected player and deal 8 Fire damage every 1 sec for 8 sec.
Mountain Grasp: Orta grabs nearby players and squeezes them in her fist, dealing 20 Physical damage. Her grip silences targets and deals 10 Physical damage every 1.5 sec.
Toss Weaklings: Orta hurls weaklings away with all her might.

Shurrai
Shurrai is located in The Ringing Deeps.
Boss Abilities
Abyssal Strike: Shurrai attacks the current target with an anchor infused with necrotic energy, dealing 80 Plague damage and applying a healing absorption effect equal to the unabsorbed damage.
Brine Vomit: Shurrai spews brine, dealing 15 Frost damage to players within 6 yards of the impact points. Pools of brine remain at the impact locations, dealing 5 Frost damage every 1.5 sec and reducing movement speed by 50%.
Dark Tide: Shurrai summons 3 diverging waves, dealing 40 Frost damage to players and knocking them back. The waves dissolve Brine Vomit areas in their path.
Soul Expulsion: Shurrai expels the souls of victims every 2 sec for 10 sec, dealing 5 Plague damage to players and releasing clusters of captured souls that deal 20 Plague damage to players within 8 yards. Each soul cluster summons 3 Arathi Drowned.
Drowned Shroud: While casting Soul Expulsion, Shurrai surrounds herself with necrotic energy for 1 min, absorbing 200 damage every 2 sec.Arathi Drowned
Ocean's Retribution: Upon death, deals 5 Plague damage immediately and 3 Plague damage every 2 sec for 8 sec to players within 6 yards. Stacks.
The released souls also strike their enslaver, dealing 150 Plague damage to Shurrai.

Aggregation of Horrors
Aggregation of Horrors is located in Hallowfall.
Boss Abilities
Crystalline Barrage: The Aggregation of Horrors launches jagged shards from its body, dealing 20 Shadow damage to players within 5 yards of the impact points.
Dark Awakening: The Aggregation of Horrors slams the ground, dealing 20 Shadow damage to players within 150 yards and transforming nearby shards into Fractured Skardyn.
Crystal Assault: The Aggregation of Horrors delivers a powerful strike, dealing 30 Shadow damage immediately and 3 Shadow damage every 1.5 sec for 15 sec.
Annihilating Bombardment: The Aggregation of Horrors deals 10 Shadow damage to the current target if they are not in melee range.

Kordac
Kordac is located on the Isle of Dorn.
Boss Abilities:
Arcane Bombardment: Upon reaching 100 energy, Kordac unleashes a rain of arcane missiles, dealing 25 Arcane damage to players within 4 yards of impact points.
Overheated Lasers: Kordac activates laser beams that chase several players for 10 sec. The lasers deal 6 Arcane damage every 1 sec to affected players and knock them back.
The lasers leave behind Ground Overload and Empowering Coalescence effects.

Titan Onslaught: Kordac slams the ground in front of him with fists charged with arcane energy, dealing 25 Physical damage and 25 Arcane damage to affected players, and launching them into the air.

Goblione
Goblione is located in The Undermine.
Boss Abilities
Bomb Field – Goblione scatters armed Bombwalkers that roam the battlefield for 42 sec. Stepping on an armed Bombwalker causes it to instantly explode, triggering Bomb Voyage.
Reinforced Plating: Reinforced plating reduces damage taken by the armed Bombwalker by 99%.
Bomb Voyage: The armed Bombwalker explodes, dealing 35 Fire damage to players within 5 yards and knocking them back.
Death from Above: Goblione launches a rocket barrage, dealing 45 Fire damage to players within 5 yards of impact points.
Gigareactive Strike: Goblione slams the ground with tremendous force, dealing 25 Fire damage to players and knocking them back.
Blazing Flame: Goblione unleashes a jet of flame, dealing 60 Fire damage to players in a cone in front of him.
Excessive Pollution: Goblione releases harmful chemicals into the air, dealing 2 Nature damage every 2 sec.

Reshanor
Reshanor is located in K'aresh.
Boss Abilities
Retreat to the Boundless: When Reshanor runs out of energy, she retreats to the Boundless and begins absorbing arcane energy to restore her strength. During this time, enemies in the real world cannot see Reshanor, and critical damage taken in the Boundless increases by 50%. Duration: 44 sec.
When Reshanor moves to the Boundless, Void creatures enter the real world.
Shifting Rift: Allows nearby players to cross into the Boundless.
Call of the Void: Summons Void allies to aid in battle.
Venomous Spit: Spits venom, dealing instant Nature damage and additional Nature damage every 2 sec for 12 sec. Stacks.
Subterranean Eruption: Burrows underground, then erupts to the surface, dealing 35 Nature damage to players within 5 yards and knocking them back.
Gravitational Rift: Slams the ground, creating a small rift into the Void that deals Shadow damage to enemies within 6 yards and pulls them toward the rift for 6 sec.
Void Torment: Delivers a slashing attack, dealing instant Shadow damage and additional Shadow damage every 1 sec for 8 sec.- Void Corruption: Reshanor's abilities infect affected enemies with corruption, dealing 1 Shadow damage every 3 sec for 9 sec. Stacks.
Chaotic Discharge: A stream of uncontrolled energy strikes the ground, dealing 23 Arcane damage to players within 4 yards and stunning them for 2 sec.
