Get Bow of the Dragon Hunters
Overview

Bow of the Dragon Hunters is a two-handed bow added to World of Warcraft with the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.2). It is a crafted item made by Leatherworkers, so it is not tied to any raid season and remains available at any time.
The model is designed in the style of the Dragon Isles dungeon weapons: a massive wooden stock with bone inlays and a distinctive "draconic" silhouette for the limb. It works well for Hunters as a primary ranged weapon and fits naturally into nature-themed and beastly looks.
Source
The bow is crafted with the Leatherworking profession on the Dragon Isles. The recipe is learned automatically when you unlock the "Mastering the Wild" specialization in the Leatherworker's progression tree, so there is no need to buy a separate schematic.
Crafting it requires the following reagents:
- 2x
Spark of Ingenuity — a weekly crafting resource awarded for profession quests. - 6x
Awakened Air — an elemental reagent gathered from elemental creatures and nodes. - 2x
Tallstrider Sinew — drops from tallstriders on the Dragon Isles. - 10x
Mireslush Hide — a tanned leather that the Leatherworker produces themselves. - 2x
Runed Writhebark — an optional enhancement reagent from Inscriptionists.
The finished item becomes soulbound on pickup, so to unlock the appearance you need to craft it on your own Leatherworker character or order it through a work order from another player with the binding set to you.
Who It Suits Visually
- Great for nature-themed and hunting looks in brown-and-green palettes — the wood and bone of the limb echo the leather sets of Dragonflight.
- Harmonizes with the Dragon Isles armor sets in earthy tones, for example the leather dungeon sets from the same expansion.
- Stands out against dark or metallic armor, adding a "wild" accent to the look.
- A solid choice for dragon-tamer and ranger themes thanks to the draconic motifs in its decoration.
Tips
The bow is crafted in a single session if you stock up on reagents in advance — the rarest part is the Spark of Ingenuity, which is handed out in limited amounts for weekly quests.
If you do not have Leatherworking, place a work order: set the item's binding to yourself so the appearance is credited to your character.
The Leatherworker makes Mireslush Hide themselves from ordinary Dragon Isles leather, so the main farm comes down to collecting leather and elemental reagents.
Tallstrider Sinew drops from tallstriders all across the Dragon Isles — convenient to gather along the way while leveling or farming.
Runed Writhebark is not required for the appearance itself, but it raises the item level on craft if you also need the bow as a working weapon.
After crafting, simply equip the bow once or add it to your appearance collection to permanently unlock the look on your account.
