Get Broken Promise

Broken Promise is an epic one-handed sword from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is a broad, grimly forged blade with a serrated edge and a cold blue-steel sheen, kept in the harsh aesthetic of the Scourge — a perfect fit for death knights and dark warriors.

The grim silhouette and cold steel make this blade a frequent choice for "deathly" concepts: undead, death knight, and dark paladin looks.

Broken Promise drops in the Naxxramas raid (Wrath of the Lich King version). The main source is the loot after the Four Horsemen encounter, plus a rare chance from several other bosses.

• The primary source is the Four Horsemen Chest, which appears after defeating the Four Horsemen in the Military Quarter.
• The Four Horsemen themselves are Highlord Mograine, Sir Zeliek, Lady Blaumeux and Thane Korth'azz.
• With a small chance, the sword can also drop from Gluth in the Construct Quarter.
• The item becomes soulbound on pickup, so you need to collect it for transmog on the character who enters the raid.
• The raid resets once a week, so with bad luck the farm can stretch out over several weeks.

This is Wrath of the Lich King content, long outdated in terms of power. It is worth going there purely for the appearance and trophies — the gear from there will not be useful at the current level.
