Get Brunnhildar Harpoon
Overview

Brunnhildar Harpoon is a two-handed polearm added to World of Warcraft with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is a short, sturdy harpoon-spear in a northern style: a broad, serrated blade on a rough wooden shaft wrapped with leather straps. The model fits perfectly into looks built around the icy vrykul, the hunters of Northrend, and northern warriors.
The harpoon carries the
"Chilling Blow" effect: on every hit the weapon deals additional Frost damage. For transmog the model and icon are what matter, but this icy flavor nicely supports a "frosty" theme for a set.
The item is of common quality, item level 14, and binds when picked up. Despite its modest stats, the silhouette and serrated blade make it a striking option for wild-north style looks.
Source
The Brunnhildar Harpoon is sold for gold by the vendor Warsmith Sigfinna in Brunnhildar Village, located in the The Storm Peaks zone. The challenge is not the price but the access: the village is inhabited by hostile frost vrykul, and you cannot get there by ordinary means.
To make the vendor available, you need to complete part of the Hyldsmeet quest chain. The key quest is "A Change of Scenery", given by Lok'lira the Crone. After it you receive a Brunnhildar disguise and look like one of the locals.
- Vendor coordinates:
/way 47.4 70.4in The Storm Peaks, inside Brunnhildar Village. - Before entering the village, free the captives held by the vrykul women — this starts your introduction to Lok'lira the Crone.
- The
"Brunnhildar Disguise" effect works only in humanoid form and only within the zone. - The purchase requires no reputation or event currency — gold and an active disguise are enough.
- There is no quantity limit: you can buy the harpoon again, for example for a second set.
Who it suits visually
- Harmonizes with sets in a cold blue-steel palette — looks for icy vrykul and northern hunters.
- Fits the "wild harpooner" concept: light leather or mail armor without heavy plate.
- Looks great on a Hunter using melee weapons and on berserker-style Warriors who emphasize rough northern gear.
- Contrasts with bright gilded armor — a divisive but memorable combination for those who want a "trophy" look.
Tips
The disguise drops if you take on an animal form or leave the zone, so buy the weapon right after getting the disguise quest.
It is best to combine your visit to the vendor with completing the Hyldsmeet chain — you will be in Brunnhildar Village anyway.
The Storm Peaks is located in Northrend, so the fastest way to get there is through capital-city portals and the Wrath of the Lich King flight master routes.
If the village seems hostile, check whether the disguise effect is active — without it the locals will attack.
The harpoon binds when picked up, so you cannot buy it "in reserve" for another character — farm it on the hero you need.
Grab a spare copy if you plan several looks: buying again is cheaper than another trip for the disguise.
