Get Brutal Dragonslayer's Trophy
Overview

Brutal Dragonslayer's Trophy is an epic-quality bow added in the Dragonflight expansion. Its appearance leans into the dragon-hunting theme: the weapon's arc is shaped like an open dragon maw from which the arrows fly, and multicolored flames engulf the bow with every shot. The bow is a ranged weapon, and in transmog it is worn by hunters.
This is the Mythic version of the appearance. The weapon has tints for each raid difficulty — Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic — so the same bow can be collected in several color variants. Combat stats are irrelevant for transmogrification.
Source
Brutal Dragonslayer's Trophy drops from Warlord Kagni, a boss of the second Dragonflight raid, Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible.
- Warlord Kagni is one of the council opponents in the middle of the raid, and this is the boss that drops the bow.
- The bow is available on all raid difficulties, and each one yields its own tint of the appearance. The Mythic version drops with roughly a 28% chance.
- Raid bosses have a weekly lockout: each difficulty can be looted once per week per character.
- At the level 90 cap, the lower difficulties can be soloed; for the Mythic tint you will need to either gather a group or come back later with extra power.
- The item is bound on pickup, but the appearance unlocks account-wide the moment you loot it.
Who It Suits Visually
- It fits dragon-hunter looks: the maw on the arc and the fiery animation play directly into that theme.
- It harmonizes with the scaled leather and plate sets of Dragonflight.
- It pairs with fire- and dragon-colored sets thanks to the multicolored flame on each shot.
- It contrasts with calm, nature-themed green sets — a debatable but eye-catching combination.
Tips
The bow transmog appearance is only usable by hunters, but any character who loots the item can unlock it.
Different difficulties grant different tints — pick the run that matches the color you want.
Remember the weekly lockout: each reset drops loot only once per difficulty.
The Mythic tint is the most vivid but also the most demanding — the Heroic or Normal version is often enough for a collection.
Other Dragonflight weapon and armor appearances drop in this raid alongside the bow — combine farming several transmogs in a single run.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
